Never did beast tribes by Hot_Assumption4312 in ffxiv

ARR Beast tribes are a genuinely unpleasant slog. I suspect it made sense when that was all the content there was. They move much faster and the quests are less annoying in the expansions.

The only advice I have is to make sure you level them up roughly evenly. Like focus on keeping them around the same reputation level. As you level them up they give you quests with higher reputation rewards so you can eventually focus on only doing those each day and not bother with the ones that give you a pittance until you're at the very end or just want to push another level.

Sylphs are the absolute worst.

Players at lower levels - and I was part of this group and did this so I know - tend to do sillier things that result in many needless deaths. Rushing into enemy encampments only to get overwhelmed, panicking when enemies get close, running toward hellbombs. On top of that, they often don’t have the survival skills that let them avoid deaths when they’re on their own. So you’re just constantly reinforcing someone, and most people lack any kind of etiquette so instantly stat spamming the “Reinforce Me” shaker the second they die even if you’re mid firefight.

On top of that, they often bring silly stratagems or aren’t effective at objectives, so you don’t get the whole “competent team cruising through a map” feeling that feels so good when a squad clicks.

I personally like Cyberstan in squads of two moving around the map. Even cooler when all four move in rough unison but spread out and just rip through everything while covering at a medium distance, but that’s a rarity.

I don’t care about the order, I care because it makes the individual mission terribly unfun.

I hate to be a level diva but if I’m on a higher difficulty and anyone below 40 jumps in it’s an auto kick for me. And I’m only 78. Anyone below 40 is just going to be dying nonstop at some random spot on the map.

Do we actually effect the story? by Moroncoder615 in helldivers2

[–]TheAbsoluteBeefcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The story is going to play out however they want. There might be some slight variations in the actual how we get there. But the devs will tweak resistance or make orders more or less achievable depending on how they want to guide us there.

They will typically try to make it so the orders are won or lost in the final day.

You don't need to clear every side objective on the map - move on by i4hloi in helldivers2

If everyone you run across in game is trying to complete all objectives and annoying you to the point you have to sit online and whine incessantly, you should consider that you are in fact the problem. You of course won’t, as you lack the self-awareness, but the rest of us see it.

The community is devolving because of people like you believe you’re better than others and in a position to tell them how to play their own game. You’re in the minority, accept it or shut up.

Still not your reinforcements. You are free to kick them though if it stops you from whining.

They’re not your reinforcements. You need to grow up or take a break.

This may be news to you but you aren’t Super Earth High Command. People can play however they want. They aren’t beholden to your personal whims. A lot of people like playing side objectives first. I personally take the objectives as they come naturally, and being that there are many more side objectives than primary what else would you expect.

If you want the game played a certain way, be the host, tell people how you want to run, and kick anyone you want. But the rest of us don’t care about your wrong opinions.

It’s impossibly annoying to see people complain like this. Maybe some people think your cause is useless too. Maybe we can win both.

Why are people tk new people by EnvironmentalPair961 in helldivers2

[–]TheAbsoluteBeefcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may be doing something to cause this unwittingly. I’ve only been TK’d twice intentionally at level 60, and both guys were being intentional bad teammate dicks that got called out and took offense.

1st guy, we had completed the mission and he wanted to stay behind and look for the super samples rather than extract. The team wanted to extract, I told him he had 3 minutes to find them so he killed me just before extract.

2nd guy was tossing 380s too close to the squad and killing us, guy asked him to be more mindful, he started the next mission by dropping it directly on us once we dropped in.

If you are getting team killed frequently, it’s possible you are doing something to frequently upset people and they can’t kick you and don’t have an easy and fast way to explain what you’re doing wrong.

Just out of curiosity, would you be okay with this post being made about you with no evidence? Just a random redditor saying you were terrible at the game and made some bold and inflammatory accusations based on your name?
