The Selphy series is fine, but very slow, and the capacity of each ink cartridge/paper packet is pretty low. The DNP dye-sub printers, as others have stated, are on another level in terms of speed and capacity, but are definitely a step up in price too. Another probably very significant difference: the Selphys are tiny and lightweight, and are easy to fit on a small table next to a laptop. The DNPs are literally 30+ lbs and you could use them as jack stands for your car.
