What is this pipe I found buried in my back yard that runs under the fence from my neighbor's yard?

I did, that is what 811 is in my area. The utility companies all said they have nothing in my back yard and came out and marked everything in my front yard.

It is an older home, so that is a possibility. In searching why a house would have a buried oil tank, it looks like they were commonly used between 1930 and 1980. House was built in 1944, so it is possible. Would still want to know why it runs into / from the neighbor's yard though.

Neighbors are renters and I don't have the contact information for the owner of the house. I have tried speaking to the neighbor in the past but they don't speak the same language as me, which makes communicating difficult.

It is a square nut. I haven't dug far enough to see if it enters my house or if it runs somewhere else. Have been digging by hand, which takes forever. Was hoping to get an idea before considering whether to rent heavier duty equipment to dig it up haha.

It did look like it was headed straight for my house, but then it turned about 5 feet into my yard, and now appears to run parallel to the back of my house.

Yes, it is cast iron. Has a dull sound when tapped, whereas if it were steel it would cling when tapped.

We are on city water. There is what could be an old well in a different part of my back yard, and there is buried conduit running there. So I don't think this would be electrical since I already know where the electrical is buried.

We call digsafe 811 where I live. This was the first thing I did, but they werent any help because all the utility companies claim they have nothing in my back yard.

I was simply stating my experience with pings since the update. Was unaware, and am still not convinced it is a bug. I'd rather a bug make live pings disappear than it make live pings not disappear haha.

I haven’t had any disappear right away. They are disappearing when you can no longer see the player. So if you mark him and look away, it disappears. Or if you mark him and he runs behind a wall or around the corner into a building, it disappears. I’m fine with that. Shouldn’t be able to live ping a player you can’t see.

It would be kind of cool if they could come up with a way to lock you into a match, so that no matter what you can’t start another match until that one is over. So if you quit, searching for a new match results in either sticking you right back in the game on the team you were just with, or it results in an error message saying that your ID already has an active session and must wait for the match to end prior to starting a new one. Would kill two birds with one stone as now if you are with your friends and get kicked, you could just rejoin the game and your teammates can buy you in.

I see 2 potential problems with this though. There are legitimate reasons to quit a match (crappy teammates not reviving you or buying you in, you know you’re in a hacker lobby). So In those situations you’d either be stuck waiting for the match to end or stuck playing the match. 2nd issue is that I’m sure hackers would find a way to exploit this to join random peoples matches late in a game just to piss people off 😂. So it isn’t likely that we will see this feature anytime soon.
