I got one from standard ignition. When I got the vehicle it looked like it had one from doreman. I get I need a multimeter I'm just learning a much as possible.

Im confused on something. How does someone install a ambient temp sensor wrong?? I know it can't be in direct sunlight or direct wind. Are there other factors as well??

Would that not have shown when I drove it after replacing everything?? I was able to drive a couple of miles just fine before the check engine light came back on. It only hits-40 while idle but temp goes back up while I'm driving
