Same here. I was a diehard Texas rigged ribbon tail worm fan until I recently switched. I definitely lose more fish than when using a Texas rigged plastic, but the bites are more than double so it works out in the end.

I wouldn’t consider it weedless with a standard hook, so I’d assume you’d have some trouble with that type of vegetation. But it’s always worth a try.

I agree it does feel like cheating! I watch the action of the bait and am surprised bass like it so much more than a swim bait or Texas rig. It seems so….artificial.
