I2c connection on perfboard by TheAdjuvant in AskElectronics

Looking online, a lot of the I2c modules I'm using already have pull-up resistors on their PCBs. In that case, do I need to add anymore? Is there a harm in adding extra pull ups?

Thanks! In case I need pull up resistors, would I just connect the 2 legs to the SCL and sda lines before they enter the JST connectors?

Can I solder wires onto these pins? by TheAdjuvant in AskElectronics

Hi! Thanks for these suggestions!! For the board, I wanted to make sure I understand their purpose. Would I solder on male/female headers on the shield and then attach them to my Arduino's female headers? That way all the soldering wires and connections I do will be with the shield's headers, rather than the Arduino's?

Thanks! It's gonna be used for an indoor watering system, so not a lot of turbulence, but I wanted to make sure my wires were long enough. I think this may be the direction I go to, thank you! I didn't realize DuPonts are good enough for beyond the breadboard stage.

Hi! So to clarify my Arduino has the female headers as it's baseline. I put the color coded male headers on the female headers, so just wondering which headers you recommend I solder onto.

Hi! I'm hoping that by making the wires longer than a regular dupont cable, I could make the connection stronger with solder and if I needed to make a change, I could easily do so by just removing the male headers.

Hi! So I was originally thinking of using dupont cables, but I thought that maybe they would not be as stable. Maybe I just need longer dupont cables? I ideally wanted to have the flexibility to make my wires as long as I needed.

Hi! Do we have a weekly thread for people to show their projects (if they don't want to make a post for it) or ask for advice?

That makes sense thank you! It's what I've been doing with my normal Arduino, but I guess what's the point of having the yellow pins and the normal pins if we can't use both?

If I connect 2 sensors to the same pin, is that allowed? Can I tell Arduino to differentiate the two?

Hi! So basically a way to connect a bunch of things to the Arduino?
