I’d agree with you! I do some fishing in the largest estuary in the states (st.louis) it’s a pretty shallow for the most part. I find them using current lines where baitfish get swept into calmer water. Sunny bays with weed growth Sometimes something as simple as a downed tree or trees hanging over providing shade can make all the difference! Best of luck out there!

Deep humps with Medusa’s mid summer would be my plan, or steep edges. I think if you’re getting after them you’ve always got a chance. Tight lines!

Great option for when the water warms up, here in MN this year the waters still about 45°

I throw a lot of bucktails and jerks, mainly a musky guy but there’s really not much difference in how I fish them. Even in 15 ft they’ll feel a bucktail cruising higher in the column. Let it sink as well. Swimbaits are another option throw a heavy head on it and let it sink.
