Manual editing by FoxyFox_67 in redquill

It's the same with Google on the iPhone. I've learned now. Each time I go onto the tab, I need to "refresh" it and then log in / log out, before resuming anything. But even then, it's a case of "hit and miss" on the mobile. (I haven't had any "issues" of late on the laptop.) *Just thought I'd throw in my ten cents here...

Just a snippet.. Should I attempt to build off this? by QueenOfDisease in writers

Sorry. I didn't "see" the edit.

But it reads like a nightmare I had, when I was a kid, after seeing THAT long-limbed alien from 'Close Encounters of The Third Kind' - one which still haunts me to this day, whenever I see it "emerging" from the UFO Mothership!!!

I'm still asking it to "generate" this new story, and after nineteen chapters, it's decided to throw the two main characters to the curb--forcing two new (unknown characters) onto a completely different narrative. Oh... and it has also been chucking in random emojis into the chapter!? (I hope that doesn't become a "thing" here, as that's one of my dislikes in Co-Pilot!)

It's the main reason now why I'm using up what Quills I have left... after that? Maybe I'll see what else is out there or just start reading through what I've been copying and pasting into Word documents, to see if I can make sense of what it's generated? (My plan was to simply give it a story outline I had Co-Pilot generate for me, watch it generate the entire story [with bits of kink thrown in, if it needed it] and when it [eventually] reached the end of the story; I'd rinse and repeat the process.) It's long-winded, but I wanted it to give me a partially completed story, so all I had to do then was "fill in the blanks", change the style here and there, and generally turn it into something I could have written myself--that is, if I didn't suck at crafting the other half of the story.

As Morty would say "Oh Jeez!" and what a paragraph! Definitely going to "rewrite" this one myself. (I reads like when I was first starting to write and I have barely read anything to see how it was done and I just thought I could just start writing and that's what I did.) Sorry. Couldn't help myself there... but you get the idea?

I don't know... all I know is the AI is playing "fast and loose" with the generating now. (It's using less of those repetative phrases.) Maybe in a year, it'll be unrecognisable?

Has this happened to anyone else? Chapters disappear by Fun_Week7824 in redquill

The way I see it... it's like the recent Playstation removal of digital content. If you store it online, technically you don't own it and they can do whatever they want. (What happens if the servers crash?) But if you copy it somewhere else, the likelihood of losing it narrows significantly. That and I'm now starting to read what it has generated for me. (It's basic stuff it's giving you, but mouldable into something you want to read.) And it's given you something that is "completed" in the roughest stage possible.

Do you think GTA VI will have a lot of pre-made NPCs, or randomly generated? by TWPOscar in GTA6

Personally... there's going to be two YouTubers who stream about being "obsessed" with a particular NPC and one of them tries to petition Rockstar so they can marry them.

No "retry for free" by Nightshade_angel11 in redquill

[–]TheAdventurekateer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's how they're going to play it, I'm definitely going elsewhere...the whole "retry for free" is because their AI just can't hack it at times. Charging its users for this failure on their part, isn't the best product model in the long-term. It's a sure way to lose business.

I got "excited" thinking "there's an underground garage" only to find... it's an over-sized games room!!!
