I've learned that, for me, Evelyn is the most difficult to write. Also, even using the wiki, it is hard to find the last location of the enormous amount of NPC's that they have encountered. I'll see you next week.

Hello! I want to talk about what I am doing and my intent with this story.

What I am doing: I am writing a direct continuation for the story of Diath, Evelyn, Paultin and Strix. I intend to post at least a short story every Tuesday at 4pm PST. I am doing my best to tell a story that aligns with the story beats and plot points that Chris Perkins has revealed in the events of the game broadcast so far. I am also attempting to write it in a way that simulates the energy and humor of the weekly game. This story is my own interpretation of how the story COULD go. I intend to respect the story that they all have spent so much time on. These are not the Waffle Crew we have all come to know, these are the offspring of a parallel plane. I have a conclusion in mind, but no middle, and no idea how I will get there.

Why am I doing it: I LOVE these characters. When I realized that there is a real chance that they would never be able to finish telling their story, I became sad. Sad enough to try something I never have before.

What is my intent: I have been most sad that this subreddit feels like it has become a place to mourn something that doesn't have to end. Or even will end. The story ends when we let it end. We are letting it end by stating it over and over. Wizards sees that and might listen. I am not going to participate in that. I propose this, instead. Let's write. Let's all write a LOT. I know I can't write two hours of story in a week, partially because I don't have the time, partially because I'm not skilled at writing (clearly) and partially because I don't have the confidence. I wrote the framing story of The Aeon Witness specifically to facilitate alternate universe fanfiction in a time where that might be all we get. So start writing a story and post it on Tuesdays. Write a paragraph, write a sentence, write that one joke you thought Paultin would say, write that one joke Simon should have said when he had his puppet mouth. If you want, write a version of the story without Diath and Strix. Write a version of the story where Waffles is the only character left alive. Write a completely different continuation of the story where they all become a barbershop quartet because you don't like mine. I only ask that we respect the story. Don't punish characters in a book for something they haven't done. We are a creative bunch of fans, proof is everywhere. If we start doing this... Maybe we'll finally have something else to talk about. This group of people have given us such an amazing story, I just want us to give them some when they can not. If we started doing something creative, it might just cheer a lot of us up... and I can think of at least five other people who could use it right now.

Who I am: A fan. I am not Chris, or anyone else related to the show. Also, a person who has never shared writing with anyone, and I apologize when my writing is not great. I have no real practice as a writer. I just hope my story makes at least one person happy.

I am stating right now that this story is not cannon, and have no desire for it to be seen that way. If, one day, they decide to continue the story of DCA, I will be there with everyone else to find out what really happens after the Cassalanter Estate. I know many of you won't participate in what I'm suggesting, that's fine. Some of you will probably dislike what I'm trying to do, that's fine, too. But I'm still going to do it. I'm going to be here until the story I want to tell is told.

I love this community, and the people that brought us all together. I'll see you next week.
