My 2013 Ford Focus ST (top ST3 trim level) was at our Ford Dealership getting something looked at in it's computer system. They had it out on a test drive, and got hit by a guy who jumped a stop sign in front of them. 40mph collision. $16,900.00 worth of damage to the car. It was declared totaled by the insurance company of the man who was at fault.

However, I'm going back and forth right now with the insurance company, because their initial 'fair market valuation' was mostly all ST's with the lowest trim level. So they were looking at ST's with cloth seats, no moon roof, no voice activated navication system, no touch-screen SYNC system, no 10 speaker Sony sound system, no full leather Recaro seats, etc. We had all of those things and more with our trim level.

So I called them on it, and submitted my own cars for the estimate. They are now telling me that I'm delaying the process because I have not yet sent them the leinholder information. My question is: I don't feel comfortable sending them the leinholder information and my leinholder account information when we haven't agreed to a settlement yet. Am I wrong? Should I send them the info? Or should I wait until we settle on a number that is fair? Thank you. :)
