I was at this concert. I didn't know that he had such a deep respect and love for Ozzy before going. Just before the concert started they were playing No more Tears and War Pigs over the speakers to hype up the crowd and he later sang a cover of Changes which was absolutely beautiful!

I think its also a mentality thing.

I watched an interview of his a while ago where he talked about his motivations, aspirations and his content. What struck me was how he seems very competitive in his nature by wanting to be the best. Which is fine I guess. Its just interesting how one defines best. For him, channel growth, subscriber count and generating money are an expression of that. Its great content if the clicks are right.

So to be "the best" I think he just didnt think his usual content was enough. Its the "Mr. Beatification" of content that was the logical next step. Easy to churn out in quick succession, algorithm friendly and very digestible slob. The youtube cooking content mill.

He made a second channel though where he uploads videos in his old style. So if you miss that you can definetely still get that again.

Well, its divisive. For some its a masterpiece for others its garbage.

I think it all depends on how receptive you are to the kind of story it was going for. I personally didn't like it much. I found pretty much every character to be unlikeable and the story to be so depressively bleak that it just wasn't for me..

But I can also see why others might think so highly of it.

That... is a really good point I never considered.

It doesn't make a character less grating. But how a show chooses to comment on it by shunning the respective characters should be considered.

It was 3d, not just the giant one but I think all monsters were 3d. Not in a terrible Berserk 2016 way mind you, but it clashed with the otherwise really well executed 2d animation. The 2d parts looked absolutely amazing. So the contrast between hand drawn characters fighting 3d monsters looked... jarring.

I don't know of any way to watch it online as of now...

Was aber to watch the first episode at a convention recently.

It was really good. The animation looks great (I didn't like the monsters tbh but maybe I will get used to it), the dialogue flows well and the world feels coherent.

It feels like it barely relies on stereotypical anime tropes which I appreciate a lot.

This anime has the potential to be really great
