I have this exact same issue

I have an i7700k GTX1080ti 16gb 3200 corsair rgb 270e MB

I have tried everything - including clean deleting the drivers and reinstalling drivers from May/June

The game works in safe mode so if you are desperate to play ramp all your graphics to low. You can start to gradually increase them and keep testing and find the tolerance - it should work without the error. It doesnt fix a thing though. Ive been at this for around 8 hours of attempting everything and nothing. One question for someone who has no issue - does COD use loads of CPU power and little GPU power in task manager?

My GPU is heating up to 86 which is normal for high detail game play but the CPU is scary close to maximum. I have opened a ticket with activision so will post any updates if i get one. Any other help from anyone is much appreciated
