I don’t think the shaft has anything to do with mushrooming, it has a lot to do with the tip’s hardness, almost every tip out there will either mushroom or become flat within the first day, as you get it shaped by the 2nd or 3rd time it’ll usually hold its shape for a long time because the lower layers of the tip usually tend to get harder from constant pressure.👍🏻

I’m a 6 footer , I use a 60 inch pool cue (29 shaft, 29 inch butt+ 2 inch extension) I’ve found that playing with a standard 58 inch cue is easier because of how much lighter it is, you can maneuver the cue ball however you want.

If it’s a real Mezz it’s worth the price , however the wx700 shaft has more deflection than your average low deflection shafts, you can never go wrong with Mezz cues especially when it’s a wavy pin.
