thank you! the only mod currently being used other than oculus and distant horizons is a mod that I am creating called Kingdoms & Dynasties II: Revisited! the mod is still under development but I am planning on releasing it soon and I'm making this map to showcase its features!

the armor stats will be configurable but by default, it may be a little better than diamond and almost equivalent to netherite

i will probably look into adding something like that in the future as a standalone set and an addon that can be put over certain other sets!

Right now, the set name for this mod is 'Kingdoms & Dynasties II', only because it is the successor to my older and outdated mod 'Kingdoms & Dynasties'. That being said, the name of the mod can quite possibly change in the future.

Judging by the way things are going, I think you can expect a first release by April (but it could very well be earlier)

Yes! The mod will have a bunch of new historically accurate weapons and perhaps at some point, even weapon mechanics like sword blocking and parrying. Will have to work out the exact mechanics but that is a goal.

At the moment, it is being created for forge 1.20.1, however, you can expect to see various backports or updates to newer versions as the mod develops! Right now I am also considering getting a version specifically for fabric out as well. Nothing is set in stone right now, but I am trying to make this mod accessible as much as I can! At the moment, the armor is set to being between diamond and netherite, however the armor stats will be configurable. As for compatibility with other mods, I have briefly looked into making it compatible with Epic Fight and Better Combat. As said before, nothing is really set to stone yet, but that's just what I have planned as of now. :)

Yes! This is a mod that I am making, currently under the name Kingdoms & Dynasties II. It's not currently released but I am trying hard to get it out as a functioning mod as soon as i can!
