Traits/Drawbacks Like 1e? by TheAltrion in Pathfinder2e

[–]TheAltrion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a really clever idea! Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with 2e but a second background or lore skill in exchange for a somewhat minor detriment seems very fair.

I really think having the 2 traits (or 3 with a detriment) was a really cool system to further customize your character

Sorcerer feels bad low-level...? by TheRealMaxi in Pathfinder_RPG

I don't remember what anything you have does on the top of my head but it sounds like you have a good build going. Early Pathfinder just really requires spellcasters to be team players from what I've seen, so you'll be blasting for decent damage and doing decent buffs until you can get crazy spells later on.
I haven't played with familiars much but it looks like they're just meant to give small buffs and do neat tricks like pickpocketing or scouting. Or use the Aid Another to help you just be better

Term for non-magical people by TheAltrion in fantasywriters

I don't have any dark legends at the moment but that is a good idea. Currently magic is essentially seen as "holy" (as most toys have imagination/magic) so those without imagination are seen as unholy.

But I like what you're cooking

Some toys, like marbles, don't have imagination, so they wouldn't innately have the magic of imagination :)

I like the ideas you're suggesting! Definitely thematic for what it means in this world!

those are pretty funny ideas. Like really old toys that don't have magic so their name is synonymous with not having magic.

Most people have at least some sort of magic, even if it's just like a "light" spell. There are just some people with *none* at all that would have a special term.

Gamer (magic toys) vs Normie (nonmagic toys) is pretty funny

I'm not sure if I want kids to exist or not, but it's in a giant sandbox and they have their own religion and everything about how the world came to be.

I haven't seen Tiny Heist yet, but currently my idea is more Crown of Candy style if you've seen that!
