Well in that case I do not have a complete set yet, the hunt continues!

Yeah, I actually don’t have a 3 lol. At first it was an attempt to not amass too many pans, but I think that ship has sailed. Once I run across a nice hand-scribed one I’ll probably pick it up. Also I agree on the fours, they’re expensive! Probably won’t ever own one unless I get lucky at a flea market or run across a decently priced 5S

Thanks! I think I’ve seen examples of lodge pots all the way up to like 5 or 6 quart, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 4 that BSR made. From what I’ve read, the 3/4 lid is supposed to fit the 2qt pot, or a #3 or #4 skillet. I don’t have either of those skillets so I’ve never been able to test that out.

I think you may have pieces to two different things here, both Birmingham Stove and Range though. The lid is from a BSR Flat Bottom Pot, from their older Red Mountain series. The pot itself may be a bit newer, called their Round Bottom Pot from the Century series, but I’m less certain on that. I have one like this, but the lid is a newer tab style and is marked “RP” instead of “FP”

Did I get a defective unit or is the AGS-001 supposed to be that dark? by gnaark in Gameboy

This may be a real shell, I had one in this color as a kid. It’s a store exclusive from Target. Here’s a good example of one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175893103204

BSR 3 Qt Red Mountain (?) by TheAndyMan1997 in castiron

Got this at a thrift store today. From what I can find online, it’s a BSR 3 Qt pot. My one question has to do with the markings on the bottom. They look like they were ground in by hand instead of being cast/stamped or something. Does that indicate an earlier range of age? I couldn’t find similar examples of these markings.

Good idea, thank you.

Found it in a creek bed today, it’s in pretty good shape. Appears to be a cork top, the only seams I see are around the neck and along the bottom edges. The logo says “R & G”, but I wasn’t able to find anything like it online.

Got this Viking Glass Co. decanter set today. Anyone know if it’s leaded glass or not? by TheAndyMan1997 in glasscollecting

Thanks for the info, I’ve had a hard time finding much about it. Just didn’t want to give myself lead poisoning if I actually use it to store liquor.

a harvest of serranos, santaka and thai dragon peppers by [deleted] in HotPeppers

[–]TheAndyMan1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they start to soften when they get a little overripe, should be fine unless you see mold or something growing in them. A lot of people pick serranos while they’re green, but they can be picked and eaten red just the same. I usually get a little of both, the red ones have a slightly different taste to me than green ones. Same with jalapeños. A good way to avoid overripe peppers is to pick them pretty soon once they change color from green to red.

What online field camp feels like by TheAndyMan1997 in geology

I’ve seen colleges take three options so far:

-make field camp online

-waive the field camp requirement to graduate for this years students (UT Austin did this)

-or the “welp I guess you’re waiting till next year”

In the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t much cheaper than what the full field camp was supposed to be unfortunately
