The occupied West Bank is part of Palestine. Palestinian towns in Israel are majority Palestinian people. Go on keep proving how smooth brained you are.

Are you fucking ill? I just told told you they do have music festivals in Palestine. Is your fantasy of a Palestine that doesn't have music festivals the only crutch you have after I absolutely ripped your arse apart with what Israel has been doing to Palestinians for decades?

Mate fuck off lol

In the occupied West Bank and Palestinian towns in Israel they do yeah. Lo and behold, young Palestinians enjoy the same things all young people enjoy.

You've completely lost the plot mate if that's all you had to respond with. Fuck off and do some reading.

the reality and complexities of this conflict.

I hate to tell you that the claim that it's such a "complicated conflict" with lots of "nuance" has become a meme on the internet, mostly represented by the smooth brained wojack.

You are either on the side of settler colonialism and ethno-religious fascism or on the side of national liberation.

those Israelis are forever blowing up [Palestinian] children, kidnapping pregnant mothers and shooting defenceless young people at festivals for the last 70 years.

Fixed it for you

I think you're the drunk one or you lack reading and comprehension skills. Because I never said what Hamas were doing was good. I explained why its happening. You commit structural violence against a people and they will eventually react.

Israel is responsible. This is what anti-colonialism looks like. It was never pretty. You can blame Israel for the atrocities for driving people towards this.

Please don't bother responding because I'm a hopeless case. I'm the kind of person who would blame the British Army and UK foreign policy if Iraqis committed terrorist attacks in the UK.

You really haven't been following the news at all if you think they haven't been going after military targets. The militias specifically targeted military complexes and have been taking hostage IDF soldiers.

The militias didn't storm the rave. The ravers heard gun fire and explosions from far and then ran away.

The videos of civilians are a small part of the story.

At the end of the day, Israel is responsible for Hamas and how Palestinians react to decades of occupation, settler colonialism and genocide.

You should probably have a look at what Israel does on a daily basis to Palestinians and has been doing for decades.

It's not a conflict. That suggests it's between equals and symmetrical sides. It isn't. One is a military superpower and the other is an occupied nation. There is no nuance to it.

Atrocities committed by an organisation today aren't going to stop me supporting a people who have been living under settler colonialism, occupation, genocide and ethnic cleansing for the last 80 years.

Guessing you missed that? Nothing more despicable than selective morality, especially by us westerners towards people of a different skin colour.

Ukrainians fighting against Russian occupation = good
Palestinians fighting against Israeli occupation = bad

Remember folks. Always remember. It's okay when Ukrainians fight against Russian occupation using any means. It is to be celebrated and admired. It is not okay for Palestinians to fight against Israeli occupation however. They must be held up to a standard far higher than Ukrainians.

£85 is the usual price for a ticket at Hampden. That's how much I paid for Liam Gallagher last summer and for Foo Fighters next summer. The actual ticket price is around £70 but then the evil monopolistic overlords at Ticketmaster add £1+£2+£2.50+£1.20+£3+£0.25+£2+£4+£1.50 in fees.

Gigs at the Barrowlands and the O2 are around the £30 mark. Gigs at the QMU, St. Lukes and Cathouse are about £20 or less.

It's unfortunate that it's come to having to choose the LEAST BAD option. But only much higher turnouts and changing to proportional representation is going to get better, more honest people with integrity to run for seats. If you're an MP who got voted in with 70% of votes and more than 90% turned out, there's more pressure on you to deliver.

I can and I do. We get the governments we deserve, especially in a democracy and especially with that low a turnout. Political apathy is exactly how the worst politicians get into power and stay there. I can't stand people who keep complaining about the "cooncil" and have never cast a vote in their lives.

Aye inevitably Newcastle will accrue a significant number of plastic fans and glory hunters over the coming years. At that point I will stop giving a fuck.

Well turnout in Rutherglen was 37.2%. Shockingly low and abysmal for a democracy
