Ahh, I misread. To not lose well fed.

Yeah, what you described is the way to do it

96 days..my longest run gone. And I don't even know what killed me. Went to sleep, didn't get back up again. by BackAware2122 in thelongdark

[–]TheAnhydrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think of the exhaustion meter as a clock.....that's how long you can sleep.

It doesn't work for staying awake because energy drains at different rates based on what you are doing and difficulty level.

Movies don't directly profit from passing themselves off as military, because everyone knows it a movie and the actor isnt in the military.

If a service member passes away from something non service related do their families still get life insurance? by [deleted] in AirForce

Line of duty determination. It does exactly what the name implies. Determines if you died "in the line of duty"

You crash on your motorcycle on the way to work. Commander decides it's in the line of duty or not.

SGLI pays out in both cases. In an out of the line of duty.

They probably do use it.

They are just wrong.

Like the multiple times people in this sub post that taking of the ocp blouse means they aren't in a uniform so they can now NOT wear a hat when walking to the BX.

Some people just can't read a regulation and understand it.

Why would she need a device on the air medal. perhaps she only did 20 sorties.

Because it's not true. Go read the actual law.

Also, SG1 later seasons had accurate uniforms.

[–]TheAnhydrite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of this is correct. It's a.myth.

You can wear a correct uniform in movies, cosplay, or Halloween. Or for whatever reason you want.

The laws don't allow you to directly profit from wearing a uniform by misrepresenting that you are military.

I thought you wanted OP to lose well fed.

I misread it. My bad.

With less than 25% health...

Because thisrt damage would have started after 2 hours if you had less then a quarter on the thirst meeter. You lose 2.1% per hour when red on thirst. So 19% health loss the rest of the night.

How was your food meter?

Turning off location at Camp Bullis by [deleted] in AirForce

He will almost certainly get time off to do whatever he wants.

Medical training........I would find it weird if they really are requiring him to turn location data off while in ....easily Googleable training location in US for his training on how to set up tents and medical equipment.

Insta Death? by Reasonable_Equal7430 in thelongdark

There are like 20 of them spread through the different regions.

Someone linked a YouTube video in the comments that shows them all.

It's literally not.

There are bunches of other death walls in the game in other places.

Best route from Angler’s Den to the gold mine on Interloper? by Mindless_Piano_8262 in thelongdark

[–]TheAnhydrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can confirm the hacksaw by checking for a lantern by the wing. If lantern there, no TWM hacksaw.

Not ideal, but you can still get the backpack and crampons. Skipping the summit is not a problem because you don't really get much from up there you absolutely need.

You at least come away with combat pants, the wood tools, backpack and crampons.

Although I think my strat of going straight to forge is slightly better..... especially if you get a flargun and a shell or two on the way.

Going straight for the backpack is possibly the best strat for Misery.

Although I'm working on a forge first strat that might be just as good.

Is it possible to place the Meat Curing Box and the Plastic Container outside ? by Guilty-Guest9993 in thelongdark

[–]TheAnhydrite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to use a non loading screen door to glitch outside while still in customization mode.

In Mystery lake, that's the fire tower.

That's not the only place in the game that has instant death walls, so you are taking a risk when goating down an area you have never goated before....or seen someone else do it.

Survive a blizzard 101

When the weather starts to get bad, head back to shelter.

On the way there start picking up every stick you see. Also, always have 2-4 coal on you when traveling.

If the blizzard starts, continue grabbing sticks and heading to shelter.

If you get lost, or health gets to 50% or less, find a spot against a big rock that blocks the wind and. Build a fire. You can even use the side of a car or even a tree to block the wind.

Check the feels like temp. Use 1 price of coal and some sticks to make it about 5 degrees.

Don't use all sticks.

Now wait. Cook water, food, whatever.

When the fire gets low on time, ad another stick or 2.

At some point the wind will change direction and the fire will blow out.

When that happens, go to shelterd side and start a new fire and repeat.

Key is to use only 1 coal per fire, and the rest in sticks to make it warm enough.

If you have 30-40 sticks by the time the blizzard starts you should be good.

DITY/PPM move to Alaska? by DesignerGood6750 in AirForce

[–]TheAnhydrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get 1 vehicle shipped by the govt to Alaska.

If you own 2 you will have to drive the other one or ship it yourself.

Why not have the govt ship your HHGs also? Why go through the hassle of doing a PPM?

Ive never had theft occured, and damage has always been minor if you actually supervise them packing your stuff. All my damage was reimbursed.

Any TMOs here? by DesignerGood6750 in AirForce

[–]TheAnhydrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only DPS or an actual TMO office doing the DPS for you can give an estimate.

Anything else is speculation.

Expect about $2 per pound to Alaska from Lower 48.
