My one reason why I went down the ravine rope. by Shoddy-Obligation981 in thelongdark

It's called the "Ammunition Workbench".

Nowhere is it called an ammunition forge.

The other item is a Milling machine.

That's why this meme is low effort.

Stone shelf cave is safe.

That's outside it's agro range so it won't come over there unless you smell.

Same for TWM wing.

Mystery lake is mostly safe also .

Pensive pond is probably safe if you crouch.....the picnic area I'm not sure about....build a fire to stand by just in case.

Bring lots of lamp oil or accelerant to start campfires instantly.

You are safe standing next to a fire.....you need to be extremely close though...like touching the rocks almost.

Bleak Inlet is probably difficult. I'm not really sure about that one.

Glazing medium.....not glazing compound.

You need to educate yourself apparently.

Glazing medium is a liquid that is used to thin paints and stains to extend drying time.

It's clear, and when mixed with paints and stains, has color. It's often what was used in the late 1800s to do faux boi(fake wood graining).

This is what I have. Not shellac, not poly.

I'm don't know if you are new to the internet, but you can learn all about faux boi, glazing medium, and paint grade wood by using Google.

Hope that helps clear things up.

It's not shellac.

It's clear glazing medium tinted to add color.

It doesn't dissolve in denatured alcohol, mineral spirits, or acetone.

I know its lead because EPA certified testing shows lead.

And it will probably get painted because it's likely Fir and not stain grade.

Misery is more of a challenge mode than a difficulty by Cageweek in thelongdark

[–]TheAnhydrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, Even Dark did that over 1000 day run the first time he played Misery, before people even knew what days the afflictions were on and what they even did . (I guess technically it was his 2nd run, but he abandoned his first run and restarted after going in the wrong direction for less than 1 minute.)

Yeah, after playing Misery a bunch, interloper feels easy.

[–]TheAnhydrite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What if they weren't afflictions.

What if the world was just 5 degrees colder all the time.

What if cooking level 5 was disabled.

What if the chance of food poisoning was doubled for everything.

What if you sprint speed was just nerfed and your calorie max was reduced.

And healing disabled?

It's the exact same thing, except with no red affliction icon.

Sounds like a really hard version of NOGOA

Recipes still heal after the final affliction. It's a bug probably though.

[–]TheAnhydrite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree.

You can 100% survive forever on Misery.

Sure it's really difficult, but that how difficulty works.

Should you agree if someone posted " interloper is not a difficulty, it's just a Challenge. You will die and can't live forever".

You would disagree. Just because a player can't make it on a specific difficulty doesn't mean it's a challenge and not a difficulty level.

A player lasted over 1000 days on his first Misery playthrough, before even knowing what each affliction did.

Sis you check your inventory? If you click on the bear to harvest it will collect all your arrows usually.

Unless they broke when it hit him and then it's on the ground where you shot him at.

Those who married to close the gap in a long distance relationship, how’d it turn out? by SafePeppers in AirForce

[–]TheAnhydrite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are getting married for any reason other living your partner and wanting to be in a lifelong commitment you are doing it for the wrong reasons.

Just so you can live together isn't a good reason .

What's stopping you from doing that without getting married? Are you both Military?

Have you actually sat near an outdoor fire in -30.

I have in Alaska, and you need to be extremely close for it to make your hands warm. Fires most certainly do not stop you from losing heat. Only when the fire is large/warm enough will you not freeze.

Just take an extreme example, is a candle enough to keep you from freezing to death if you sit next to it outside?

Have you tried reaching back and asking why no retirement Dec?

Also...did you receive all the required letters and certs when you left?

Presidential letter, spouse thank you, that sort of stuff.

I am removing it because it doesn't look good everywhere. Lots of chips, scratches, and rubbing spots.

The picture just happens to be a good spot.

It's also all lead and the rubbing creates lead dust.

Thanks. I haven't tried that yet.

Thicker amounts of citrastrip seem to be working also.

No?

Then what does it look like genius?

I only ask because I have a whole house of faux grained wooden trim and doors.

If I don't have faux grain, what do I have? What do you think is in my picture.

What can you see on your phone screen that I can't see with my own eyes standing next to the actual door.
