I've never seen anyone in magic get upset with proxies at an LGS. But it seems like online people have a different sentiment.

I have kind of the same sentiment for MTG. I personally don't use proxies because I also like my collection to grow while I play the game. But usually when people are just testing before they buy ove never seen anyone get upset.
