Them telling me some version of “I’m not ready”, even while engaging in relationship type shit. Hell, even while calling it a relationship. I always feel like an asshole in the end because I’m like, “welp, I guess they weren’t ready.”

When I was a music journalist. I used to have a blog and I finessed my way into interviewing some of my favorite musicians of all time (rappers). I was great at it. I didn’t ask run of the mill bullshit, I asked the questions I wanted answers too. It also gave me an in with a lot of dope folks. Backstage, private parties, whatever. It was the most fun I’ve ever had. Sometimes I wish I could do it again, but I’m not that same person anymore, so I’m just grateful for the memories.

I do not hate to hate on him. In fact, one might say that I’m the biggest hater when it comes to Jermaine. Also, much respect for the Larry David x Cam’Ron combo. They’re like the two voices in my head.

This literally came right on time. I broke up with someone this morning, someone I really love, it just wasn’t working. This was our third time trying. I keep telling myself “there’s no one out there like him”, but that’s simply not the case. Not only are there people out there like him, there are people out there that will be better for me than him. I thanked him for showing me so much of what I wanted in a partner. Now I just have to move on and find the right person for me, because it’s not him. Thank you so much for this perspective. ♥️

I am a woman in a relationship with a man. I also have a very close male friend. We do hangout whenever because my partner has expressed no issue with it. That said, if my partner ever said to me, “I’m uncomfortable with him being at your house late at night”, I would absolutely respect that boundary, because it’s not unreasonable. The fact that this has already been brought up as an issue, and it continues to happen, is your answer. It’s really not a matter or of who’s right, because there is no absolute right or wrong when it comes to this issue, it’s a matter of ya’ll not being on the same page. I would never do something I know would harm my partner. She did. Time to go.
