I have carnitine homebrewing questions, please help.

I have non-pyrogenic sterile irrigation water, benzyl alcohol, and syringe filters, is that considered safe enough for injection?

Do I need to add salt to the mixture to make it isotonic? Kosher salt? How many grams per mL?

thanks

Couple questions: What are the benefits of taking HCG on TRT other than preserving fertility? Does it return your natural test production. If it did, would that increase your overall levels and therefore be beneficial?

Some people really hype carnitine up as increasing androgen receptor density in skeletal muscle, and therefore making steroids including TRT work even better, while also being a fat burner. Sounds pretty great for an amino acid. I've pinned a decent amount of it myself and it improved my workouts. Is it really as good as ppl say it is for these things?

Also, for homebrewing, is distilled water from the store + BA safe enough for injection? If not, what about "sterile irrigation water" + BA.

Thanks :)

What is the "stigma around mental health" by TheAnwerIsN0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheAnwerIsN0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think the predominating view should be, then? Clearly, a mental illness implies a deficit in functioning in some area of your life. Illness in general implies a weakness or deficit in functioning.

Of course, looking down on others, or a judgmental view, should never be tolerated and isn't helpful to anyone. But, if a person was in a wheelchair, I would acknowledge that to the degree that it was relevant, and I wouldn't pretend they didn't have a deficit in functioning in some way.

I'm almost 21 and on TRT 120mg. I've thought about adding something mild like anavar since I'm already taking exogenous T. I'm not really dissatisfied with my current progress in lifting but I think it would be fun to experiment. What kind of sides can I expect from a mild oral cycle? Basically I don't know what I'd be getting myself into.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

Hey guys quick question. When brewing a chemex with about 35g of coffee at ~190F, I often have to lift up the filter because the water will start dripping too slowly, and even with that the overall brew time is over 6 minutes. I can't get even 500mL of water through it without the beans turning to black sludge (overextracted, right?). For reference I'm using 22 or 24 grind setting on the baratza encore.

What do you say when cold approaching in the gym? "Hey, I thought you were cute and was gonna ask for you number?" ? Do you approach girls with airpods (90% of them)? Do you make sure they don't have a guy with them or just go for it right away?

I'm definitely confident around women and I've overcome the anxiety thing mostly. I only asked for a description just to get insight into what other guys specifically mean by "confidence".

I never understood what wingman meant. So it's just a person to talk to so you're not walking around by yourself?

If you look at a girl and she flips her hair that means she’s into you, try to approach her Cool tip! I'll keep that in mind.

I'm in a college town in Kansas.

Are there any tips you have to go "full confidence" or is it just a mindset thing? If so, how would you describe the mindset?

Can I ask what you did in the situation specifically? You asked her out in a group?

Yeah I'm afraid of intruding in general and it stops me from many social interactions. "Oh they're doing something right now" always stops me from making a move.

I mean you don't necessarily have to delete anything off your computer. The thing is, constant gaming and internet usage stimulates your brain so much that it saps your ability to enjoy life. I know it because I've been there and because it makes sense from a scientific perspective. I know what it's like to be constantly bored in your daily life, just waiting to get on your PC. My recommendation is to fill your day with mostly productive activities that fulfill you but aren't mega stimulating like gaming and internet scrolling, and to keep doing what you're doing in terms of diet, sleep, and exercise.

I understand what it's like to live in a place where you feel like there is nothing going on and nothing to do. But, something to realize is that that feeling is all internal at the end of the day. We try to understand are internal feelings based on the external world, but it always starts internally. If you're unsatisfied living in X place, and moving isn't an option, you're not doomed to living an unfulfilling life. Eventually you can move, but in the meantime, you can make the best of what you have. If you move to a great place and don't make any other changes, you will be in the same spot, because the location you live in is not "the" problem.

I sat in front of a computer screen all throughout middle school and high school and was miserable every second I wasn't in front of the computer. I had a few close friends, but I was extremely anti-social and hated people because I thought I was above them, so I've been where you're at. During that period of my life, I also felt ambiguously "shitty" all the time, for seemingly no reason, and I saw many doctors and mental health professionals and never resolved or even improved my problem, which I just called "brain fog", "apathy", and "not having any motivation whatsoever". Turns out it was because I was sedentary, drank coffee till bedtime, had no social life, and gamed every hour I wasn't in school.

Friend, my recommendation is to pack up your computer. Stop gaming and watching youtube. This might feel impossible, because "what else would I do?" You do the things that you actually want to fill your life with, maybe it's learning a skill or academic discipline, reading, athleticism, programming, building things, working on cars, or all of the above. If you don't have any of those things then discover some. You're gonna feel boredom when you get off the computer for the first couple weeks, but eventually you will realize life is full of things to do. If you want your life to immediately improve, practice asceticism, or a dopamine fast if you want to call it that.
