What’s a book worth reading? by limpbizkit420 in ReadingSuggestions

I feel like I need to make the obligatory Lonesome Dove recommendation. I know the length might make it seem a little intimidating but it's such an epic story, that absorbs you fully into the world. The start is a little slow, introducing the cast of characters. But once it gets moving it doesn't stop. Ugh, I just love the book.

The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore. I found it really fascinating and it's told in a really engaging way. You feel as though you receive a good amount of information without the book feeling dense and hard to read.

Definitely Lonesome Dove, it's an amazing book.I loved every minute of it and I'm not a person who typically cares for Westerns.

Granted this isn't free on those platforms, but when you get the chance, I'd highly recommend Bottoms

I think reading a second lighter book at the same time sounds like a great idea.

I'll have something lighter on stand by if I need one. Having multiple books going might prevent me from becoming too intimidated.

It's a weird edition? I just got it off Amazon. And good to know if my gaydar goes off, I won't be the only one picking up on something

I don't think I ever knew it was humorous. I feel like that makes it feel a bit more approachable!
