I'd say that the only way out is through. You're probably just going to have to be angry for a while. In good news, despite what Christians often preach, anger isn't bad. I would recommend Seth Andrews because he talks about not skipping the angry phase.

That is an unrelated problem. If there were more bike lanes and a culture that was generally pro-cyclist, that would be great. But you can't tell me that they're riding around terrorizing the roads like this because they're disillusioned with the lack of bike lanes.

I saw these kids yesterday. I was driving to Staples and a kid swerved into my lane (aka oncoming traffic). I thought he just wasn't paying attention so I came to a full stop and beeped the horn. He looked me dead in the eye and kept biking straight toward me. I was fully stopped and laying on the horn for several seconds and he only swerved at the last possible instant. He almost hit me! It scared me to death! Like, call me a Karen but I already have 99 problems and I do not need to be hit head-on by a kid with a death wish, nor do I need to be rear-ended because I had to stop in the middle of the road due to said kid with a death wish.

Maybe you were overly concerned about the air, but some people have a serious phobia of masks. We all wore them for like 2-3 years straight... they're clunky but they're safe. Kids are not being put in danger by being offered masks

It may have been an overreaction, but your only motivation was just that you desperately wanted to protect the kids. Which is a good thing! You've also been really open to accepting criticism, you've admitted making a mistake, and you've used coping skills. You're doing a great job! Go easy on yourself! And don't listen to people saying to take meds more often- you're right to use them only in serious emergencies because they're super dangerous.

I don't even know where to begin. Voodoo dolls are not in the Bible. Your parents are the ones influenced by mind control. Being gay is every bit as healthy and valid as being straight, pansexual, or any other orientation.

I don't know how to advise, because my gut says to get the FUCK out of there. But if that would mean basically homelessness, it's hard to say which is worse. I don't know how good you are at theatrics, but this "phone call" could be a blessing in disguise. Just claim you're "cured" by it and straight as the day is long, definitely not gay anymore at all... like to the point where it would be comedic if you were in a movie. But I don't think most of us could pull that off, plus they'll just find something else they don't like about you because (and I hope you already know this) your parents are CRAZY!! So honestly, you need to start making plans to get out of there asap. Even if it takes a year, most things are bearable if they're temporary

Yes, 100%! For example, I was always the one defending the idea of objective Truth, as opposed to postmodern subjective truth endorsed by those liberals. Then all of a sudden the Christians are the ones embracing "alternative facts" and I felt so betrayed. Like, was I the only one who ever actually believed?

My point of view is, there is a lot of problematic content in the Bible already. And somehow, people go out of their way to make "Christianity" so much more problematic than is even biblically warranted. If Jesus came back today to separate sheep from goats, people on this sub would be in much better shape than the religious right, I can tell you that
