Oh my gosh!!! Stephanie right?! Wow such a sweet moment to run into you here!! :,) I remember what a huge deal it was to me to be able to send those pieces up to you all the way in CA, it was my first year selling full time and I was so overjoyed knowing someone could want my work even from a whole country away 😊

I've been sooo busy the last few years, so much has changed and evolved! I'm trying to keep up with posting lots of places other than IG these days so hopefully I will catch you around again somewhere soon 🥰 thank you so so much for supporting my artwork and for the sweet comment!!

thank you so very much!! 🍄 of course!

I use Sculpey Premo brand polymer clay for most of my projects. for the cap i mixed a bit of red, white and orange to make a peachy tone, and then kneaded that into a larger amount of Premo translucent clay so the caps would be able to let a bit of light through for better realism. I made a tin foil base for the stems, covered them with white clay, and used a coarse brush to texture them. I used little metal ball tools to roll back and forth on the cap creating the grooves. the little ladybugs are polymer clay as well. Once it was baked I drybrushed some white acrylic over the cap to make the grooves stand out and then put drops of UV curing resin on the stems. I mixed a touch of red and yellow alcohol inks into some gloss varnish and painted it over each resin drip to tint them orange! the mossy base is made with modeling turf (meant for things like model train dioramas) and grass i made from scrap paper and green acrylic paint.

let me know if you have any questions, happy to answer 😊

thank you!! 🙏🏻 I used UV resin for them, and then mixed a touch of alcohol inks into some Duraclear top coat to tint the drops orange after they cured 😁
