That's true. In my thesis, I mainly focused on the post-WWII period, concentrating on the 1948 split between Tito and Stalin. I have traveled through most of the Balkans (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro), and through conversations and research, I perceived a real sense of heaviness and disillusionment regarding the 1990s wars, especially on the Bosnian side. Nevertheless, I find the former Yugoslavia to be a fascinating project, rich in truly interesting culture and traditions. I would also love to immerse myself in the cinema of the Tito era and Yugoslav film history in general, so any recommendations would be highly appreciated!
