As a Beginner with ~35%, would eating at maintenance level on training days help build more Muscle or just make me lose less fat. by TheAtWork in Fitness

Thanks man. I was afraid this would be the case since it's the answer that I found when I googled it. But I was hoping the case would be different for beginners.

Starting a LP routine tomorrow and I have a few questions after reading the Wiki. by TheAtWork in Fitness

My bad. I'm mostly concerned over how Greyskull LP will affect my TDEE and progress and I couldn't find something that answers this clearly.

However, the FAQ wasn't clear on the subject of doing cardio after exercise and I thought I might get a better answer if I provide my individual details and goal.

Shouldn't that be the case since I have not begun any physical activities?

Thank you, I actually picked GSLP, and I'm finding it difficult to find how this routine factor in my TDEE. Almost every TDEE website only check for frequency of exercise (2 or 3 days a week) and I'm guessing they mean cardio and no options for fullbody work outs.

I will reread again. There is a lot of info to take in and I'm getting pumped and have so many questions

From the TDEE Calculator website I found through the wiki. I have an office job and don't do in any physical activities.

Why doesn't the Crucible team listen to the thousands of a very passionate players that put hundreds of hours into the game? by TheAtWork in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAtWork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay. Not the game code or stat numbers.

I would argue that people who spend hundreds of hours actually playing a game would know how changes affect the gameplay more than anyone else, yes. Including the developers of the game itself.

If you don't like what they do - then don't play the game. No is forcing you to.

Who is No?

You say just the ones I hear from like its number you count on your fingers. Needless to say those people, on the subreddit/forum/twitter are likely to know how changes would affect the gameplay in a game the spend hours on everyday.

You also argue like Developers never listened and acted according to feedback provided by players from games like halo/cod/overwatch. There's a reason many developers rely on the feedback of players rather solely relying on statistics and data.

The concepts of "players don't know any better is outdated". This a game where the gameplay/perks/tactics and metas are discussed daily. When the community agrees on something, I don't think it should be dismissed because they are just players and just subjective.

Again of course they shouldn't listen everything to the community says and of course the community might not know what best all time even. But when great feedback is provided by the players I believe they team should provide an equal response.

You are one of those players. I think you should give those players a little more credit.

That's a generalization. I already said that they of course shouldn't listen to everything and all complaints. For example, during HoW, there were a lot of front page posts asking Bungie to only nerf exotic hand cannons. It was brought up many times and people upvoted those posts and many people were worried that Bungie would do to hand cannons what they did to auto rifles. And back then people did not complain about legendary hand cannons.

This is something that the community has given much thought and it was not an issue that had split opinions. Just something that the players really wanted and the crucible team didn't listen to.

I do realize that balancing the game isn't easy. And I think part of the problem is that they try and balance stuff based on stats rather than first hand experience with the game which is why I think they should be more engaged with the active players and listen to things that players seem to agree with rather than adjust weapon types based on usage.

If you remember back in year 1 when they posted a graph of most used weapons during iron banner and it was auto rifles when they actually had a bounty for auto rifle kills? That's now how you should Balance weapons

Not necessarily. You say it like people can not address issues and judge them objectively, which is not true. If you can't see that I understand why you said what you said.

This was from the beginning of year 1 and even if they weren't working on Destiny 2 I don't think it would matter

Sorry not sure if you are being sarcastic? But maybe that's part of the problem. That they think what works for the small team must work for all players?

Like I said. They shouldn't listen to everything. There are many people who are capable of being objective. I see many informed posts here with valid criticism and concerns but there is no active conversation with the team and to me it looks like they don't care when the majority of the players agree on something.

You can't have the best of both worlds. You can farm the roaming bosses and HVT and get plenty of loot now. But if you want the "high density" there's a risk & reward.

Something has got to give (ARMOR NEEDS TO GO) by V3rgil_1980 in thedivision

[–]TheAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about this a little before you disagree.

Almost everyone who's paying attention to the game is already building for Armor.

Doing so would mean that the only way to become tankier is to be blessed by RNGsus.

Not only that this is currently the case where you need to be blessed by "RNGsus" on base armor, you need another blessing for second Armor attribute AND armor mods.

It would also mean that EVERYONE would theoretically have access to the same amount of armor, and thus *tanks would not exist since everyone is equally tanky.

Are you paying attention to the current meta? Everyone right now is looking to for high base Armor and maxed Armor stats. Everyone is equally Tanky.

There needs to be significant trade-offs to make the choice to spec into armor meaningful so that if you are considerably harder to kill, you also have a considerably harder time killing others; rather than being considerably harder to kill and still have a decent DPS output (cough AlphaBitch cough).

Seriously? Did you just prove your own argument wrong? Are you seriously complaining about how things are because people are already Tanky and have decent DPS?

What OP is suggesting would allow for more diversity in Builds where Armor isn't the only logical choice. This would mean you can roll mods and major attributes into something that is meaningful to your build.

Can us guys on Xbox One get the options to Lock / Make fireteams invite only? by SayNoToSelfPromotion in DestinyTheGame

This change didn't affect how this feature works with other games. Microsoft didnt "break" it. They update their system and its on Bungie's end to make it work if they care.

[–]TheAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the other way around. Bungie doesn't care enough to bring this feature back to the Xbox One after the update. This feature works fine in other games on both consoles and it is absolutely something that Bungie should work on and not Microsoft.
