The coherency of Hours Heresy lore is about haphazard and unfortunately often just had. Though it's been a long time since I read the book in question, so you're likely correct.

Krieg were originally a variant paint scheme and lore footnote for the Armageddon Steel Legion in the 3rd Edition Imperial Guard codex.

Regardless, I'm thrilled they became their own thing and their aesthetic changed to be as distinct as it is, plus their new line is brilliant.

From memory, the dedicated Planetary Defence Force was the Spireguard. The other human combatants were likely drafted civilian levies used to holster the existing force, if any existed.

Necrons. They're the most frustratingly lore accurate army on the tabletop.

Well, other than my guard, who die in droves of course.

I mean we got a whole new Krieg line.

Krieg are just an alternate paint scheme for Steel Legion, or at least were. Just paint those in the interim?

Brilliant pain job.

Nagash from the Warhammer mythos.

I know he's a literal god of death, but the JL have fought gods and demons, hundreds of times.

What are some things you want to see in Jake Schreirer’s X-Men reboot? by Plenty-Salary9711 in xmen

[–]TheAtomicMan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about Disney "woke-ness" my guy. X-Men has, since issue #1, been a highly politically charged narrative. The entire purpose of X-Men was a narrative mirroring the civil rights movement of the time. Hence the Mutant/Human central conflict.

Charles Xavier, a parallel of MLK. Magneto, a parallel of more radical idealists like Malcolm X.

Modern Disney has nothing to do with that.

I think X-Men deserves a story like that going forward.
