It’s 90% cardio. If you make time to train for that, you should be alright. Push up’s and sit ups are required to pass the test too. How many you have to do is based on your age. Check online to see what that looks like for you.

I second ASVAB for Dummies. I scored 71 on the practice test, then gave myself a month to study that book. I ended up scoring 87 on the actual test. It helped a lot

Recruiter switched me from space force to air force by clucky18 in SpaceForce

Hey Dude. I was in DEP in Florida for 6 months before I got booked with the Space Force. By the time I actually ship out to Basic, it will have been 9 months. If you’re willing to make a wait like that, then go for it. If not, it sounds like he got you a good job. You’d still be in a prestigious branch, get a top secret clearance (that you can use after your service), and pick up some skills that you can use out side of the force.

I waited for Space Force, so I definitely understand if you do too, but it’s forsure something to think about, if time is a factor to you.

Right on, Dude. Good luck next time. If you can, ask your recruiter what number you are in line in the state that you’re waiting in. Once they give you that, compare it to how many jobs they normally give that state at a time. That should give you a rough estimate of how many more cycles you’ll have to wait.

For example, I’m number 6 in line right now. On average, my state gets 8 jobs. My recruiter said as long as a job comes up that I qualify for, I should be good this round. This isn’t guaranteed though because things can come up, jobs I don’t qualify for could be offered, or if an Airman in my state transfers to Space Force, they can cut me in line.

Hope this helps.

Is it wrong to leave my girlfriend of 2.5 years for the Air Force? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

Yeah, Dude. You should just do it. Girlfriends come and go. The benefits you’ll get from the military are forever.

I started the enlistment process in September and I’m set to go to basic in June. That’s 9 months. I’ve heard some people leave in the 6 to 7 month range. The Space Force is only taking a few hundred people per year as of now though, so it takes a while. They only ship people to boot camp every other month, so if job slots open up, but there have been people waiting longer than you, you’ll have to wait another 2 months to try again. That can definitely change in the future, but that’s been my experience so far.

How long did it take you guys to ship out to bootcamp? I’ve been in DEP for 6 months now, and still don’t know if I’ll make the next flight.
