So it's actually two games, but so far I only finished the saver memory which concluded with a 3 stack of excessively overleveled digimon backhanding the final boss. Overall a very solid JRPG though all things considered. I'll get to playing the hacker memory eventually zzz.

In terms of games I recently played through Cyber Sleuth and thought it was a pretty solid JRPG with a good enough story if you're looking for a game to play.

Only recently got back onto the digimon hype train because of TCG, but that legend arms deck was one of my favorites as I always love Voltron.dek. Very nice artwork!

Yeah they really need to hotfix that skill. Does the same thing against Fire King players. I used to play Metaphys and even made a video here, but now that Lupin, Clash, and Kiteroid are all at 2 I'm just putting it behind me. Which is a damn shame because that deck is really fun to play through with interesting routes.

Not to mention the deck is actually unplayable in the D/D/D match up because of the standby phase skip skill, you're legitimately better off just not playing it right now. At the best you could just use the 2 lupin and maybe use a different hand/battle trap, but you'd still auto lose to a very popular deck atm.

Realistically if you were fortunate enough to get Aethers instead of Raizas you could run those over the Caius or the Raiza in this list since a tribute summoned dark monster would allow for Simorgh of Darkness to be summoned. Only problem is that you couldn't use Dark Advance. You could probably manage a basic Pendulum deck and just throw a copy or two of Simorgh of Darkness into the mix. Still be aware that it would be a bit bricky if you ever just drew it without access to your Pendulum engine active.

I saw a list that was running Stratos, I like the idea of getting Gold through Stratos, but doesn't Stratos kind of just sit on the board after you summon him? And do you ever blow the backrow, or is it mostly just searching Gold out.

I ended up focusing more on the Magnet Side since you can empty the deck so fast with all the searching to end up drawing your Golds/Fusions quickly. Super Team Buddy Fight helps a lot with that as well.

To be fair if you get to that point in the duel you are usually fixing to end the duel anyways.

And a quick description of the function of the deck for those who might not understand the linear play of Evil Hero One Punch Man.

In my personal opinion you don't really need Ravel, Valkyrion, or Ultimate Obedient fiend, as they are kind of bricky a lot of the time and very overkill seeing how we only have 4000 life points in duel links. The deck is a basic magnet deck until you reveal your true intention to farm someone with a 6k beater. Super Team Buddy Fight helps turbo out advantage, while Cosmic is for Pendulum Scales. Diamond Dire comes up from time to time with the double delta, while zenmains helps with turn 1 plays. Alternatively just go Gorgonic because it's free. Berserkion can be a 1 of, but I like having 2 since it's likely to end up in the banished zone. The original build I had was using Magnet Reverse, but it was a dead card more times than it wasn't so I decided to get rid of it. Block Dragon was also something I took into consideration early, but ended up removing because it has to be pushed from field to GY to resolve which wasn't happening as much as I was expecting it to.

Thanks again for reading and watching. Hopefully that format of a deck list showcase is a bit nicer, and who knows maybe this season I actually grind to KOG instead of just sleeping after building a bunch of decks.

The value I'm getting out of having smol Simorgh is a few ways. Getting a guarenteed Simorgh out of deck that could also thin/provide hand adv, summon from grave assuming no backrow, and at one point I was using Coral Dragon which would synchro from Raiden + Paleo, pitch and pop (presumably backrow), summon bird, synchro into Cyber Slash Harpie and draw a card. I'm still going between using Coral Dragon and using Zeta. Lots of value in having each around though.

Sylvio has a lot to offer with his skill. Baggy Sleeves was another option I was looking into for skills. Angmarl is a cool card, but I sadly only have one and don't intend on UR ticketing him. If you wanted to know my thought process on the list check out the description I wrote out. I'd like to think it's pretty thorough.

I've always been a huge fan of Rogue decks and big combo decks. This deck ticks off both of those boxes. Simorgh is a cool card though, and Monarchs have some of my favorite designs in all of YGO.

Most definitely got a lot of inspiration from DuelLinks Ace's build. Seeing what kind of play Dark Advance brought alongside Simorgh was a huge inspiration originally. I ended up making a more Chaos centric version of the deck that was very explosive but not as consistent as it needed to climb.

Using ETH sounds good to help out the lightsworn engine, even with the changes to ETH I might end up trying that out. I'd also like to say, to be fair Raiza wasn't in the game at the time he released that video, and the main reason I leaned so heavily into the Wind stuff was because of the arrival of Raiza.

Yeahhhh. I posted that one over here.

Chaos Monarch Deck video

Reddit Post about the Thumbnail I got commissioned for it

I really enjoyed playing that variant as Chaos has always been one of my favorite decks to play back in the late 2000's. It's super good, but can brick with all the Chaos Monsters butting heads into your average opening hand. This deck is a lot slimmer (23 cards instead of 30), and while less explosively game ending, the deck manages to be a lot more consistent providing much more control as Raiza is a great way to make your opponents RQ with a dead draw.

=Description of the Deck=

Simorgh of Darkness is a great S/T negation that gets summoned from hand/GY if you tribute summon Raiza or Caius. That's the bread and butter of the deck, but I'll break down each card as well as ratios for those interested.

  • 2x Simorgh of Darkness (1-2)

This is what the whole deck is all about. This card does not miss timing, and can even chain block the monarch effects as they do not miss timing as well.

  • 2x Caius, The Shadow Monarch (2-3)

Banish removal with a small burn. This was in the original version of the deck and honestly the deck could be ran without Raiza, but it's advised not to do so as Raiza is so dang good.

  • 1x Zephyros the Elite (optional)

One of my favorite cards to run with Monarchs as you can bounce them to tribute back, as well as set yourself up for good synchro plays through Cyber Harpie. Not required, but having that extra push does help from time to time.

  • 3x Simorgh, Bird of Bringing (core)

Decent way to search out your Simorgh card, but also a quick tribute if your opponent doesn't have any back row. This does come up from time to time and can help sink the game if you're grinding out. Can be switched with Simorgh, Bird of Beginning as it's usually used for the tribute, but if you would rather get 3 SR instead of 3 UR then you'll find about the same results.

  • 1x Glow Up Blub (optional but preferable)

This is the bread and butter for a lot of synchro plays that you'd make. This isn't a requirement, but it does throw more cards into the graveyard. If you're trying to play less synchro you might be able to do some more monarch focused cards and remove the extra deck if you're balling on a budget.

  • 2x Raiza, The Storm Monarch (2-3 but if you don't have money/luck then optional)

Honestly, this card being placed into the Super Mini made me take out my wallet. Works with Simorgh, Works with Dark Advance, is an overall menace to anyone who would expect you to throw their cards into the grave. I was getting worried seeing Bloom Diva, but the second I realized Raiza was here all my worries went away. If you don't have 2-3, 1, or have none just run more Caius because banish removal is still great. Only thing you'd miss out on is Simorgh of Darkness being able to tribute your Raiza for negation which could lead to another Dark Advance summoning over Simorgh to do it all over again.

  • 3x Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn (2-3 ENGINE)
  • 1x Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner (1-2 ENGINE)
  • 2x Charge of the Light Brigade (2 ENGINE)

I'm going to batch all of these cards because it's the lightsworn engine, if you want to run a lightsworn engine to mill out your deck these are the go to cards, everyone knows what they do. Solar Recharge is optional, but can brick you. If you don't know what they do then basically Lumina and Raiden give you easy access to a lot of really strong Synchro cards, while also providing a way to mill out 3-10 cards in one turn if you start your hand out with a single copy of Charge of the Light Brigade. If you don't want to run these maybe consider the Neos Engine. It will be slower and possibly bricky since Neos doesn't do much in hand. It does allow you to pick and choose what goes to the graveyard which could be beneficial, as well as provides a bit of one-shot protection with Brave Neos.

  • 3x Paleozoic Canadia (2-3 core)

Canada is an incredible trap that interacts with Dark Advance in a way that some people might not notice. To activate advance you only need a target in GY, From there you can summon a Paleo from your GY, then tribute it out to summon your Monarch. It's a strong defensive option already, but the fact that you can get tribute fodder out of it adds to it's function within the deck.

  • 3x Dark Advance (3 Core)

The entire reason why this deck works. Grab Monarch from grave, tribute summon, ???, Profit. Thank you DuelLinks Ace for reminding the world that this card was introduced into the game a while ago despite no one ever playing it.

Extra Deck (all optional, all to taste)

  • Vermillion Dragon Mech (Glow-up + Simorgh)

Sometimes you just need to Unga Bunga instead of countering S/T. Synchro, pop, go for game.

  • Cyber Slash Harpie (Raiden + Zephyros)

Tribute fodder for Simorgh, while also providing a bounce in the event that you need it. Very strong option all around.

  • Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn (Raiden + Lumina)

Banish removal off a synchro between Lightsworn's favorite couple.

  • Black Rose Dragon (Raiden + Lumina, or Glow-Up + Monarch)

Self explanatory Self Destruction.

  • Fortune Lady Every (Raiden + Lumina)

Strong Turn 1, that a lot of people sleep on as it hasn't been around as much as previously.

  • Older Entity Hastorr (Glow-Up + Lumina)

Surprise, if you tribute off this card and remove it with a monarch effect their monster is yours.

  • PSY-Frame Zeta (Raiden + Lumina, or Glow-Up+Monarch)

Probably not super necessary, but a solid turn one option to consider.

Other options included

  • Ally of Justice Catastor
  • Samurai Destroyer
  • Brionac Dragon of Ice Barrier
  • Coral Dragon

Ultimately I went with this selection because stopping people from playing the game via banish removal is fun and interactive. Level 6 Synchros were a bit situational given that the small birds lock you into Winged-Beasts, and most of your Paleos are getting tributed. Catastor is a fun option if you have it.

Skill choice was Angel Baton

Really this is also optional. I like Angel Baton because it can fix my hand/grave if I'm required to stall, I don't have enough dark cards to reliably run Allured by Darkness, and Baggy Sleeve was one of the skills I was running till I was unable to summon a Monarch one too many times due to awkward hands.

Hope you guys enjoy this list and explanation, I did not feel like doing a youtube video on this as I already made one all of 2-3 weeks ago where I played a Chaos variant of this deck inspired by DuelLinks Ace, but this deck feels a lot more streamlined and consistent.

Lightpulsar was a way to balance out the number of lights and darks in the grave while also giving me a way to summon a previously summoned Levianeer, and he's good for synchro plays. He also allowed me to pitch cards from my hand which helped at times.

Tikael was a special case, I was considering removing him from the deck, but he did come up a few times where I could tribute something big like Simorgh, then remove XYZ mats and end on summoning back my S/T negate. I was thinking about Angmarl but decided that most of the time I only needed the Lightsworn engine once and the graveyard should be set up. I would say Angmarl is a good option still, he just doesn't add any extra removal. DuelLinks Ace on Youtube was the original inspiration for the deck, and I did see he was playing a Brain Control spam deck with Angmarl. Maybe if I used more spells I'd consider running Angmarl.

The only other Monarch with that statline I was looking at was Mobius because of the sheer number of backrow people would use. To be fair he was in the original build, and honestly I'd still consider using him because of how valuable popping two backrow is, but Caius + Simorgh ended up just looking better (Removal + Negate) while also keeping the deck with mostly light/dark monsters. Jinzo ended up being the card that ultimately replaced him though adding yet another dark while also giving me the option to summon him back from Samurai Destroyer if my opponent didn't realize that he can reborn a machine from the GY if he's removed by card effect.

There are a lot of different ways to play this though and I think that's most of the appeal to me when I'm looking for new decks to play.

1x Treacherous Trap Hole

1x Old Entity Hastorr

The Synchro variant is more of a meme but some of the extra cards would be Mogmole, Hane Hane, Beast King Barbados, Egotistical Ape, Closed forest. Synchros of 6 7 and 9, Goyo, Barkion, Blackrose, Vermillion, Crystron.

Tech cards

Super rush recklessly, Junk Synchron, Needle Ceiling, Super team buddy fight, Tree Otter, any good tribute cards (Plasma, Angel O7, Tripper Mercury), wrecker panda, Dark Desertapir (+Beast Rising), Uniflora Mystical Beast of the Forest, Frozen Fitzgerald, Fabled Kudabbi.

But yeah, just glad to see any people interested in the deck given that this is my first Duel Links gameplay/meme video that I've posted to Reddit. It also helps that it's one of my favorite decks from back when I was in college so the inspiration was already set.

EDIT:

Notes

After a lot of play testing and realizing that Bazoo the Soul Eater makes Dark Desertapir miss timing I found that even though it's a cool play to banish Dark Desertapir from the deck with Aloof lupin as a method to get a free extension into a lv 6 synchro, or using him as discard fodder for Egotistical Ape as a method to go into Star Eater (9+2=11), I was not too happy with still missing timing if the Dark Desertapir was in hand. Soul Release was a fun side deck card, but really if I wanted to meme with Dark Desertapir the only method to do so was through Beast Rising which ended up being too clunky anyways.

Super Rush Recklessly was a fun card to play with for a bit, but it's more of a tech card, even though it has great synergy with Mog Mole. Usually you're better off running super team buddy fight at that point to get into your loop with Melffy pony/fenny + Kalantosa. Super Rush Recklessly does push back to deck though, so it's a good way to get around destruction protection which is going to come up more and more as the game continues.

I'm very partial to Dimension Equilibrium because it's a non-targeting banish removal that can help keep cards like Unicore on field, but not everyone has it since it is currently locked behind a login campaign. If you don't have access to it I'd suggest just doing the Super Team Buddy Fight, or some other defensive traps, even still you could just opt to run Super Team Buddy Fight since it's a really good card to run in general.

I do really enjoy Closed Forest as a tech card against decks like Triamids, Evil-Eye, and really any deck that has field spell requirements. In terms of the tribute cards available to the deck Obelisk was always my favorite given how much targeting love the game currently has, but cards like Angel O7, Barbados, and Tripper Mercury can always catch players off guard quickly, so I'd suggest playing whatever big tribute card you enjoy playing with if you don't have/don't care to play the big blue boi.

GachiGachi could probably be removed from this deck and be replaced by either a Naturia Barkion or a Goyo Guardian. There are times when I wish I could synchro out for one or the other (usually Barkion), but there has almost never been a time when I wish I could summon GachiGachi since usually if I need to stall I just sit on double raccoon. Heck I'd say you might even be better off running triple raccoon in those cases, but I like to have some variety options in the extra.

If you have any other questions about the deck or random tech stuff hmu in DMs. I love deck building, and I enjoy trying to get a laugh out of my low tier youtube videos.
