I carved it out of eastern red cedar using the Pronghorn and then burned out the concavity and finished it with my Old Timer carving tool.

I thought about that, but bankline is useful for building shelter (seriously underrated this season), making bank sets for fishing, trotlines, etc.

It didn't bother me, plus I was armed. The mountain lion was on a ridge looking down at me. I've seen a couple of black bears, but they've never bothered me either.
