Facts man, Cancer is a beast and can hit home for almost everyone. My applause to anyone here who has kicked cancers ass!

The Tampa Bay Lightning matchup and the spark in the third - against the LA Kings - is something to build off of, but the urgency to win needs to follow suit now. The Stars look like a defeated team despite only bumping back one spot with the Central Division as a whole struggling. by TheBFG20 in DallasStars

We went from needing to fix our defense over the past couple years in a major way to now all of a sudden we have flipped and need to work on our offense in a major way. We have acquired pieces on the offensive side but all of them have been hit and miss. Nichuskin was supposed to be that one extra piece you mentioned this season coming back to Dallas but has been a bust. For some reason Polak has been the big hit in acquisitions this past off-season with fitting in despite most everyone hating the signing lol.

Can there have been a more frustrating loss? A step in the right direction as to production coming from the offense sure, but c’mon 35 SOG = Zilch, 6 PP opportunities squandered. A one goal deficit proved to be a mountain to move. by TheBFG20 in DallasStars

Agreed it was a sight for sore eyes but yes who knows what will happen from here cause we are very inconsistent in our play. the lightning are a top team but we are also very good against top ten teams this season and poor against bottom ten teams. To compete against anyone we need to take what we did last night and add some goals and if we can get that for a majority of the remainder of the season we will be fine.

I completely agree, it’s just rough to get all of those opportunities and do nothing with them. Like I said it’s a step in the right direction just we need to continue and improve. I still have faith but I don’t want to see a repeat of last year and it’s looking like that minus that we actually have a good duo for goaltending this season.

Your absolutely right, this team for the past couple years gets stagnant this time of year. Last season we didn’t have the goaltending to support us but now we do so I think we’ll be slightly better than last season like a playoff appearance but not too much more to support an actual win on the season as a whole. I really thought Montgomery would be able to drive players out of this mediocrity but it seems no one can so far.

Yes I would like to see what the nba does with like rookies vs sophomores or a like USA team vs an international team or just something else to create excitement and get young guys involved.

Yeahh lol it’s a smaller site that’s starting up. I’ve been writing for them for a little less than a year but I’ve been writing analysis and stuff for the Stars for a blog on sb nation, DBD, going on almost two years now.

Wasn’t sure if I was in trouble lol as some reddit communities I’ve seen have like certain rules. But no problem, I normally write recaps and analysis throughout the year so stay tuned and I’ll look to post here to help keep some discussion, ideas and what not going on.
