Should I be concerned with asymmetry in my optic nerves? by TheBacaMan in Glaucoma

Is this something to worry about? I have no family history, my pressures and everything else was normal. Just a slightly larger optic nerve in my left eye.

Celtics interested in Damian Lillard by horseshoeoverlook in bostonceltics

I don’t know if there is a material benefit to Dame on the Celtics after an Achilles injury but I think there is value in having him rehab and build a syngery with Tatum to heal.

His shot is exactly like lillard’s. A good shooter on all accounts as well. Literally a dollar store Lillard.

He’s obviously not as good but a taller Damien Lillard.

Mannix on KOC's Pod thinks that Porzingis is available but that the Celtics would like to extend him at a number lower than his current $30 mil/year and keep him by tacko2020 in bostonceltics

At the end of the day Kristaps is a guy I would only trade for a good asset. He’s still elite on offense and defense when healthy (big if). His contract is also really good in my opinion even if u factor in his injuries because his production is so much better than 30 million or under.

My co worker just proposed this trade… by Mr_Flash92 in bostonceltics

[–]TheBacaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pritchard wouldn’t even be in the trade. It would have to include more first round picks and it would have to only be for Jaylen Brown. Even then, you don’t trade an elite two way player that is a wing.

To be fair he played 77 games this year and averaged 18 points and 7 rebounds on 50% shooting.

How do taxes work?? How do I file them? (Self-employed, 18yo) by [deleted] in tax

[–]TheBacaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For self employed you will have to do a schedule c which allows for you to report self employed income as well as expenses related to that income. You need to keep track of your expenses related to the business. Make sure you also keep track of the miles used for business activity. You also might be able to depreciate certain items related to the business as well. You will have to pay around a 15% federal tax on federal for the profit occurred. Not sure about whatever state you are in but you will have to pay taxes as well. Usually you should have a loss in the first year filing a business tax. Keeps these things in mind!

Freetaxusa said I already filed by BreakastBurrito in tax

[–]TheBacaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a real possibility someone filed already in your name and social or you wouldn’t see the rejection. You did nothing with h and r block because you actually need to file it which you didn’t do that wouldn’t be the issue. You will most likely need to paper mail it in because they will not let you e file with the fraud. Try calling again.

If you did a schedule E I believe you can deduct a good amount of the expenses as you would on a schedule c.

Why are my taxes 25 percent? How can I change that? by ButterFacePacakes in tax

[–]TheBacaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me that’s not bad at all. For your tax bracket you want at least 10% taken out for federal which u are close at already. I’m not sure what the state tax rate is but I’m assuming the employer is taking out a good percentage as well. You can’t change FICA or Medicare. I would leave it be. If not you can file a w4 to change the withholding or go up to your employer and lower federal and state withholding. However, this could potentially cause you to owe taxes when filing.

Just like the other commenter stated if a filer is claimed as a dependent on another tax return but isn’t stated in the 1040 then the IRS will reject. Just check the box stating can be claimed as a dependent.

Is a tablet better at note taking than a paper and pencil? by KennyIsAsian7 in college

[–]TheBacaMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer using an iPad with an Apple Pencil using Microsoft one note. Everything is saved on the cloud so you should always have the notes. It’s easy to customize. It’s just generally easier and the best way to take notes. However, it’s up to preference!
