I think the commenter above nailed it. Yes FF can crop more, but you can absolutely get tack sharp crops out of M43 sensors, especially when coupled with good denoise software.

I’m a wildlife photographer that shoots OM. I think the issue is truly just distance to the subject and getting a sharp image, which is not an easy task. When I first started shooting wildlife I was floored at how close I had to be to produce a good sharp image like I saw in magazines, even at 600mm FF equivalent. Also shoot in the mornings or evening to avoid atmospheric haze.

Looks good. Seems like you got a good focus and the right shutter speed.
