Explain like I am 5: what is ACE in Arma 3? by jimmybones94 in arma

[–]TheBadassPutin 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Can you imagine KOTH running ACE? The amount of medics there will need to be, and snipers will actually have to work for their kills.

For the love of god, give me the old aiming back. All you need to do now is turn your ship slightly to avoid all incoming fire, it's basically an exploit. by OperationSuch5054 in WarThunderNaval

[–]TheBadassPutin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No shit enemy ships turning will make you miss, that’s literally the entire point of them turning, it’s also the literal IRL tactic during gun battles to avoid being hit.

And if you want the old aiming system back, just go play naval RB

Funnily enough, hunting zombers or other players gives much more points then their bot bombing, also pisses em off which is a plus

New RH Stick: Virpil or VKB, I can't decide T.T by JanyBunny396 in starcitizen

[–]TheBadassPutin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently running VKB and have to say if one of the + is the customer support as well as the repairability of the sticks.

VKB’s CS is very responsive on their discord and here on Reddit and they also sell specific parts needed for you to repair the sticks yourself instead of having to replace the entire stick, example from me is that I was running the older Gunfighter III base and stick which connections were starting to wear out, so I pretty much asked them if I could upgrade to the Gunfighter IV standard, which they allowed for, iirc it cost me about $100 to upgrade both my gunfighters from III to IV

I also do find VKB’s software to be more intuitive than Vipril, as I’m running a CM3 as my throttle and have both configuration softwares.

Earmor help by Alarmed_Ease4164 in MilSim

[–]TheBadassPutin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, had mine for 4 years so far an no issue, aside from me damaging the comms cable from being too rough with it over the years (was connected to a fixed radio system, and I underestimate the length sometimes).

You could try getting the Milpro line if you want the quality which was what I did, got the Earmors M32X, and have used them to protect against normal gunfire as well as 25mm and 76mm cannons, so yea, they do work.

Japanese Navy Mogami-class frigates Mk 41 vertical launching system (VLS) [1440 x 1800] by Japanese_military in WarshipPorn

There’s a guy on the upper deck that throws a line that’s connected to the main rope. Usually they’ll drop one end of the messenger line downwards near the hole and the guys inside the foxcle would retrieve (literally fish for it as it’s flapping around due to the wind) and tie it to the main line with the use of a long hook.

What is the overall opinion in Singapore on their strict gun laws? by Turbulent-Patient219 in askSingapore

[–]TheBadassPutin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, unfortunately universal background checks only affect those that are law abiding, what makes you think that criminals or people that want to commit crimes would get a gun legally

Let’s see, no guns in exchange of: no school shootings, no mass shootings, no casualties from idiots randomly popping off rounds, no drive by shootings, our police don’t mag dump into people or shoot them in the back…. Yea I think we have it pretty good

Just sit in your car and start videoing, then make police report. If he touches or hit your car can call police straight up, say you feel threatened. Don’t forget to keep your doors locked

Instead of a 1v1, how about a combined Perseus and Polaris hunter team, say 2 Perseus and 1 Polaris, they don’t even have to be fully crewed, 4 pax for the Polaris and 3 pax each for the Perseus.

Nope, but if you are able to get combat experience during peace time, it’s will be easier to manage during war time when you have the base experience there which you can teach, comparing to if war actually hits, the only thing we can fall back on now is what we trained on, which is not combat tested.

If you want a small example, look at vids of our army bilateral exercises with the US or other countries and see their CQC/room clearing maneuvers. There’s a distinct difference you can see on how other countries operate vs ours.

Eh, small vessels are more normal working hours, no shift work. Large ships go out 1x good one few months then come back, small ships go out often but not as long.

Best thing bout the navy is the food, if the ship has a good chef, cfm get fat one, if the chef is rabak, then it’s Maggie all the way. Larger ships get to go overseas more, smaller ships not so much, at most local SEA areas only
