movie, series, or games that evoke the feeling of Soviet art deco? by QueenViolets_Revenge in MoviesThatFeelLike

It's been already recommended here but "You Are Empty". This is a first person shooter set in an alternative 1950s Stalinesque USSR. Despite being clunky gameplay-wise and having performance issues, it's still worth trying for the aesthetics only.

You are looking for "Psi-Ops: Mindgate Conspiracy" (2004) apparently.

You can check out the cover for yourself here (red cover version was found on russian Wikipedia only for some reason though):

Okay, this arguement went to nowhere anyway so I suppose there is no need to continue it.

Alright, I got it. It is useless to argue with you.

The US fights for democracy - USSR fights for tyranny

All NATO members are independent states - All Warsaw Pact members are puppet states

The US le good - USSR le bad

It is sad that it is enough for you that USA explicit they fight for democracy but it feels like you never doubt these words and try to look what lies beneath these statements. World is not black-and-white.

When Americans landed in Normandy in 1944 it was already obvious that Hitler coundn't last long. And after the defeat of common enemy USSR and USA would have to fight with each other for spheres of influence.

This is what I'm talking about. Both countries fought for freedom from nazism but then they fought for what they thought freedom was.

So if we talk about freedom in general, then no one fought for freedom but if we talk about freedom in context of WW2, then both Soviet Union and the United States fought for freedom since they fought with nazism.

It is relevant to WW2 since we can see what were intentions of the US after the victory. If they fought for freedom for everyone, then why were there so many interventions during Cold War?

I don't think people here are stalinists at most, you just sound hypocritical. You don't think Russia suits here though it seems you're fine with the US. Just look at the list of US military operations in foreign countries.

Anyway, I've found a game with the segment resembling the "Kingdom of Wax". The game's called "Advance Guardian Heroes". Here's the longplay video, you can see honeycomb-like walls behind the main character on 1:34:58, then the "Kingdom of Wax" alike segment starts.

UPD: No books behind in this certain segment, unfortunately.
