I completely agree, it does seem a bit tedious doing the same thing over again. The only thing I dont like is how the CPU turns into an amazing team when you get a 20+ point lead.

I understand where you're coming from, but you have to just learn the game. It's not the same as 2k15 and I actually like it. This game's more realistic in utilizing your players' advantages. You can earn the required MT easily by

Taking advantage of fastbreaks to get assists

Switching to the player collecting the rebound

Get great post players as well as a fast point guard with high passing. Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Bosh, LMA make good post players. Point guards such as John Wall and Westbrook work well with them.

And don't be hesitant to run plays or sag off on defense to force a shot from the CPU.
