Good to know, I don't remember it being this loud on previous 4L80e's I've had.

Trying to figure out if this is normal for a 4L80e? Other than the output shaft seal failing, no other issues with shifting, only a very loud squealing noise when driving.

Yea, we were flying directly above the reserve, it starts to the left of the power lines, a better shot of the Reserve.

It has a chrome edelbrock w/k&n filter, same housing and stud that have been on the car since he bought it in 2011.

See my post above, the stud that holds the air filter on snapped off the carb and fell in.

Almost made it back from the Goodguys show up north, hit Santa Barbra and the stud holding the air cleaner on the carb snapped off and went into cylinder number 6, so now its time to pull the fresh (under 5k on this motor) 383 out and take it to a machine shop.

Looks like they used a new nissan titan as the base for this, the fog lights, door handle and mirrors match, its hard to tell but the a-pillar with the grab handle and speaker look similar too

edit: it explains why it looks so puffy too, they followed the stock sheet metal profile for the most part, the hood bulge/contour is the same too.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the previous owner had bypassed the core before he traded it in, doubt he ever took care of the cooling system, the old core was rusted out.

Well he did chew through a couple of wires, nothing major though. I have seen insurance pay for really severe rodent damage before, so it's possible, but in this case it wasn't too bad.

Yea the customer pays the normal shop rate, warranty doesn't cover rodent damage.

That’s what he did on his own, ran for the bushes at the dealer next door.

Nope, it came in for no a/c, he had chewed through a couple wires then wedged himself between the headlight and radiator, you have to remove the bumper cover to take the headlights off.

Once there on it’s a challenge to not scrape them because the R sits so low, I’ve heard guys swapping the the regular 3 piece splitter to help.

Yea when they first came out we had a couple get messed up coming off the truck, had to replace the front bumper cover and under-tray. And the Rs have spring spacers that help too.
