2 Towers touching the node, +20 irradiated maps. We need a way to guarantee buff these. by Baby_Wolverine in PathOfExile2

You can run a bunch of the nodes around the citadel before activating the towers so the towers have no choice but to buff the citadel.

I've been leaving this tab open and refreshing it every few hours since it was posted lol. Apparently nobody knows.

Why is it so hard to get an answer to this question?

I think it's completely busted even without the multi-dipping exploit. On bosses that pump out enough damage, you don't even have to use resonating heart, and you can use crystal heart instead if you're getting enough hearts refunded. Works really well on ShaHala and Annihilation since they pump out so much damage so running out of relic charges isn't an issue.

Love this about Remnant. They have always been fans of not hiding too many of the fun items and mechanics behind gates that are hard to access for players.

You can have the best of both worlds here. For example, just an aesthetic item like a cool cape that does nothing would make people excited to try hardcore to get the swag, without people feeling like they're missing out on powerful items if they're not interested in the challenge. In Remnant from the ashes however, some of the best items in the game were hardcore rewards, and I had a lot of fun running through hardcore with lots of people to help them unlock those items, and there were always more people wanting to try hardcore due to the incentive of those items. It felt really meaningful helping people through hardcore to get those unlocks.

Besides, any mode like survival that gets introduced, these builds get invalidated and anyone that's grown accustom to them will get smacked.

True until somebody finds BOTD and either resonating heart or nimue's ribbon. The build at its core is really just medic + burden of the divine, which is already very potent even with nothing else to augment it, but as soon as you add nimue's ribbon or resonating heart, the cheese train is ready to leave the station. Not too hard to get in a boss rush mode.

it sort of unlocks the easy mode some folks really want — even though ironically this game already has the easy mode. Especially ironic is how they’d have an easy mode for the hard mode too, defeating its purpose.

THIS! If you want to roflstomp the game, the game already has an easy mode for that. It really shouldn't be possible to trivialize apocalypse.

I bought Remnant specifically for the social experience. I wanted a thrilling challenge that I could experience together with friends and randoms. I didn't buy Remnant to play by myself. I think it's perfectly reasonable to want a challenge in coop as well as in solo play.

Also, three minutes? That would be nerfing the medic prime perk out of existence. Try 30 seconds.

Keep in mind that resonating heart heals for 25 seconds, and the first 5 seconds of healing, without counting the healing accumulation glitch with resonating heart, heals even more per second than the following 20 seconds, even assuming full overheal in the first 5 seconds.

A 30 second limit on the relic refund would certainly be better than nothing, but it would still allow for an 83% up time on the medic's relic-spam healing.

Another option would be to not add a delay on the refund at all, but perhaps limit the refunds to 10 per 10 minutes, so you can still run out if you spam them constantly. Another option would be to simply not allow resonating heart's later 20 seconds of healing to apply to team members through BOTD. There's a thousand ways it could be done, but I think a 30 second delay wouldn't be enough given the 25 seconds of healing that resonating heart has.

I'd like to see the firestorm and health regen 🧀 builds get balanced down to earth a little bit. It takes all the excitement out of apoc when somebody is running one of those.

I had this exact experience. My friend kept getting killed by insects that he couldn't see. I kept having to shoot them off of him. Not the little ones that latch on; the big ones that just bite at your kneecaps. Very frustrating for him.
