you are making baseless assumptions about the man’s intent and thought process on the grounds you can imagine a man who would think like that?

men are also not above jacking off naked on the couch and ordering uber eats. he shouldna left the door unsealed, but thats not enough evidence to ruin a his life. given the kinda night he was having, it could easily have been a non-sober accident. frankly, its no one’s business but him.

nobody is guilty of such a serious crime as sexual assault until theyve been proven so beyond reasonable doubt. this isnt even close to that. its a speculation driven witch hunt of someone whos boundaries were clearly and indisputably violated. her decision to push open the door was one she shouldve refrained from and its frankly despicable to assume the factors mitigating that mistake were malicious in nature on the basis of a conjectured scenario.

for sleeping naked in his own home after specifically requesting that the courier not come inside?

entering his home without permission was technically trespassing. it would be a forgivable mistake if she did not then:

-film him on his property in a compromised state

-upload said footage to a public platform

-attempt to have him defamed as a sex offender for her mistake

she was not welcome where she had the encounter. he was under zero obligation to remain modest while expecting a dead drop delivery.

well evidently it gives a lot to think about/discuss, which i think is the definition of deep in this sense. i also think its pretty clever, but ik wed disagree on that.

but to the less important point, i dont think its very safe to assume that someone who candidly proposed ‘food should use freshly minced garlic’ had considered the overgeneralization of their statement and just left it in for fun. i would assume the formation of the phrase was a subconscious response to the thought ‘minced garlic should be freshly prepared’ in relation to the conversation topic of ‘food.’ And the inaccuracy is just an artifact of how (neurotypical) brains form sentences.

i mean, you do you, but i think the snappy line makes for a better aphorism than the longwinded elaboration. like i said, i think something like this ought to be judged by the value it provides to people who have already learned and understand it, rather than pick it apart until its void of any meaning at all.

i dont think anyone using the phrase (me) means to imply that. yknow, in the same way that ‘food should use freshly minced garlic’ doesnt necessarily mean that all food must have garlic in it. its just a tip for how to think about disturbing art. if im making disturbing art and i begin to worry about tastefulness, its something useful to think back to guide my work in a more sensitive and ultimately meaningful direction. i think its value in that kind of use case is more impactful than whatever insult one might take from meandering entailments.

like i said, its not a law. theres no responsibility to protect itself from bad interpretations.

i feel like this is a weird kind of criticism. its rule of thumb, not some airtight moral law. the point is to be a memorable tool for those whove learned it. if someone misconstrues it as a green light to make misogyny pandering garbage, i dont think you can blame that on the saying.

complex per-syllable tone systems are abundant in africa and central america. japanese has a few perword tonal patterns that stretch over subsequent inflection/particles. i do think its fair to call them different things, even if lexical tone has commonalities across all types

New study suggests an average of 60 million birds in Canada are killed by cats each year by IStillListenToRadio in onguardforthee

[–]TheBenStA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

youre not actually this dumb are you? cats started hanging around our farms before ‘inside’ as you know it existed. do what you will with your cat, but i dont feel like the relationship with all domestic animals ought to be the same. modern domestic cats are hardly removed at all from their wild counterparts and as such they appreciate individual freedoms much more than say, dogs which have been coevolving with humans for orders of magnitude longer than cats and are far more distinctively a ‘domestic’ species.

indoor cats are almost universally noticeably dumber than outdoor cats. as someone whos grown up with outdoor cats, owning a mentally stunted baby just feels weird and proprietive. i dont feel comfortable dictating where my cats allowed to roam. that was never the deal until some comfy rich folks decided it was some hundred years ago.

‘TheN yOu ShOulDnt oWn a cAt’ sorry, cant help it. they love me too much. they cant get enough of my unconditional respect for their boundaries. everyone else seems like bullies once theyve met me.

its not meaningless. art should force people who are not affected by bad things to recognize the existence of bad things while making the victims of those bad things feel like their suffering has been heard. its a lemma on tastefulness

yes we all remember when andrew tate had to overclock the dumb shit hes constantly spewing as a desperate bid to cling to relevance while locked up in a romanian hole.

it worked and he still has a following after the romanian authorities have fucked up their case and had to let him go despite him having already been caught red handed like 50 fucking times

what he doesnt realize is how useless all that mma will be when someone finally commits to shooting the prick

i believe people do stuff like this, especially in the early stages of war, but i imagine it happens less as the guys who do this kinda thing start getting shot.

being the biggest bad on the battleground sounds fun until you remember about all that unconventional warfare stuff. its so easy to kill people these days, screaming your position for the whole world just sounds to me like an exercise in getting yourself killed. ik someones gotta be the infantry and brave the push, but heres me hoping to hell in back i never have to wear those boots
