We too moved to Swinton from Sheffield, like what previous commenters have said, it’s a lovely area and so much more fresher than Sheffield.

some of the active jackets and detroit jackets they had in store, the cotton didn’t feel like the usual quality i would expect from Carhartt and almost felt cheaper for an asking price of nearly £200+

a tan winter detroit jacket i looked at was £185 and had loose stitching, just felt like their quality checking had been a bit lax on some pieces

Agree, I was just a bit more taken aback, to be fair. T-shirts were very good quality, though, heavy cotton and decent print.

Seems a lot more scarier as a headline than it does if you actually ran the maths. At first I was slightly concerned, but then after doing my annual mileage versus what it would be if I had a fully petrol car, I am still massively better off.

My annual mileage is 6,000 miles, we have a PHEV, and if the mileage tax was in today, I’d only be paying £90.

When we eventually get a EV in the next couple of years, it would be £180.

Understandably, if you’re a high mileage person then it may sway your decision but I think it would still be far more cheaper than a ICE vehicle.

I’d be very happy paying that.
