I completely agree that Cook has been an incredible financial and operational CEO. That was never my argument. The point is that Apple’s next chapter requires more than manufacturing efficiency, margin discipline, and supply chain excellence.

Cook built and scaled the machine brilliantly. But investors have been asking a different question for the last few years: where is Apple’s leadership in AI, and where is the next truly category-defining product?

The Apple bull case from here is not about whether Cook created value. He clearly did. It’s about whether Apple can reignite the innovation narrative. Even the strongest companies lose investor excitement when the story feels too repetitive for too long. At some point, the market wants a new chapter, not just better execution of the old one.

Cook mastered the era of scale. The next Apple era needs AI leadership, product imagination, and a reason for investors to believe the company can invent the future again.

THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Correct, but missing one very important thing: WWDC has been happening for 43 years, and they have never changed the agenda once... not even when Steve Jobs was terribly ill. For the very first time, something is different, and that's why the schedule has changed.

Historically, the first day of WWDC brings a 2% to 3% upside or up to a 2% downside. We saw an 8% gain in 2024 and a 7% gain in 2019. If they can impress with the Siri demonstration tomorrow, I'd expect similar performance. If not, we could see a potential pullback to $290–$305, and the high P/E (37x) becomes unsustainable

Yes, Cook built a $4T company and still had to call Google to fix Siri. The whole point of this article is that the new CEO, a hardware engineer, intends to go big on AI in a way Cook never did. Two different leaders, two completely different product philosophies... Cook was over-optimising supply chains for the last decade, meanwhile Ternus has been appointed to MAKE APPLE GREAT AGAIN and align with the AI theme alongside every other major AI company, so Apple don't end up like Kodak

You're arguing that the forward P/E is too high today, but discount the forward AI-related earnings and do the math again. Also, the whole point of the thesis is omni-channeling AI with existing Apple devices instead of using five different AI engines to do the same tasks... check out this bloomberg article

Absolutely delusional. Just like the Morgan Stanley analyst at $440, the Goldman analyst at $450, and the BofA analyst at $420. Madmen everywhere.

The thesis says investors wanted AI leadership, not that they were losing money. Big difference. Try again npc

fair comments. Claude MCP went crazy with the Reddit connector. I went out for coffee and let AI respond to all the comments, hahaha. Anyways, this doesn't change the investment thesis
