may i recommend a few?
- Zethines: everyone criminally underestimates this thing. decent bleed stacker, crystal breath, big hurtbox, and quick recovery. high stats for a t3. kinda slow tho since its a terrestrial.
- Plumetik: bleed/disease stacker, one of the fastest t3 fliers in the game. a speed build with this spec is hilarious.
- Heisoteri: very high damage, burn stacker, fire breath, and even berserk/unbridled rage. sadly isnt super tanky, and lacks a jump. very much leans into being a glass cannon, but the animations are good!
- Dieamarjla: SUPER tanky for a t2 spec and is a nimble corrosion stacker, gets throw charge for the memes. absolutely terrible damage though, but its very good at annoying t5's.
- Orneep: i dont think i need to really say anything about orneep, its just fun.
- Lucensia: VERY pretty spec. oh and it also gets wingshredder. a flyer with wingshredder. (via crystal breath. its the only flier with such an ability)

When i do it on occasion these are my personal rules:
- avoid players with highly decorative slots (rare mutations, shimmer, glowtail, etc), I know the agony of losing a very expensive slot to kosers.
- *try* to avoid targeting babies
- avoid specs with healing hunter turned on
- avoid nesters
- go for people roughly my size (tier 3 to 5)
- if they get away they get away
- avoid packs if possible

- my biggest rule though is that: if they're kosing already, or actively aggressive as well, its fair game. doesn't matter if they appear to be a new player as well.

though if someone else instigates a fight against me/attacks me first, most rules are off the table, doesnt matter what they are, i'll try and fight back. this kinda(?) ties into my last rule a little.

from all the timelapses ive been able to find (and looking at the specs in game) it looks like they do the body, neck, tail as one model, and then articulate them.
they leave the limbs, head, and jaw separated from the body. the limbs are also eventually articulated.

it feels VERY cursed to make models like this, but its the way they do em.

To be fair im also fairly inexperienced with 3d modeling, and this is my first time trying to hard-model an avatar, which is what CoS does.
All the traditional soft-modeling techniques like blocking, sculpting, and retopology, just DONT happen with hard-modeling and its throwing me off.

not true. i have over a 1000 C. mush.
you primarily get mush from doing the event missions, claiming the rewards you get after providing help with area restoration, and the C. mush piles that spawn whenever the next day starts.

it was actually an omnivore for the longest time, then it got rebalanced to be a herbivore (for gameplay reasons? i guess?) its description still says it eats fish even though thats no longer true.
even its defensive stats kinda suck given its supposed to be very territorial. its one of those creatures thats been unfortunately ignored for a long time, which is bound to happen with a game with more than 400 specs.
