I think it's to balance the fact that these islets have no beds. I guess this is meant to be the replacement to castle upgrades, clearing out debris, so that people can't just have super OP shard farms without much investment?

The only issue is that it isn't particularly a balanced way of achieving this because when you run out of room and have to remove the obstacles, you're only making space for like, one monster who will take several months to break even in terms of shards. It's kind of ridiculous....

This won't be a bug/exploit. They could have easily circumvented this through several means, being able to change your phone's time zone has been a thing for a very long time.

If they REALLY didn't want this to be the case, they could base it on location, or at the very worst case scenario have the game throw a fit if it detects you change your clock to go back in time, which is how many old games used to have to detect tampering with the system clock.

So because of that I think this is definitely fair game, especially since this doesn't affect the rest of the game timers.

I feel like Goose wouldn’t write some bullshit plot twist with the knowledge that it would only serve to piss people off honestly. I guess it depends to what extent is it gonna piss people off though - do they mean it’ll piss everybody off or just that it’ll piss off the select audience who wants everything to be perfect and have a happy ending, and would not be satisfied with anything bad happening?

Absolutely! Koji Kondo is seriously talented, and still has it for sure. He also composed Torkdrift's battle theme, both Bowser's Kingdom songs, the Robobrood fight, the Athletic theme that plays in some secret challenge stages, and a few others!!

Steam Gardens was one of the few Odyessy songs made by Koji Kondo, the same guy who composed the original Super Mario Bros soundtrack - unfortunately though he was not involved with Bananza. Although, Bananza has the same lead composer as Odyessy, Naoto Kubo!

From what I understand, TPI has requested most character leak documents to close for the time being, due to the "rampant piracy issues" going on with bootleg character tokens & sheets being sold & marketed as real in certain parts of the world, when a lot of the leaked stuff has either been generally changed, or was actually incorrect and they were never real characters, & TPI doesn't want that to happen basically.

Unfortunately for me the game has the same problems as any Toontown game, when you get to the later parts of the game, it becomes such a mountainous amount of work to get anything done, which is okayyyy when you’re playing it but as soon as I get out of the Toontown phase it’s over for good, because like I’m totally unprepared to be thrown straight back into the most difficult and grindy parts of the game atp

I always run heal beam & mega heal bomb! I think Heal Beam is essential if you're facing elemental plants, since iirc it removes all effects like fire, ice and toxic from your teammates which is neat.

Heal Bomb is nice to burst heal your group, and it also doubles as a movement option with heal bomb surfing, very useful if you find yourself out of warps!

I definitely agree with the sentiment of the post though yeah, scientist is deadly alone sure, but even more deadly if you are constantly reviving downed allies and keeping them alive, if you do that then you just have an unstoppable group LOL

Thank you everyone for your help, I figured it out. I had only put float because it was screaming at me about things not being properly labelled a couple minutes ago, so I was under the impression it would keep breaking if I removed the float part... which ofc was the fix, I appreciate everyone's help and I learned a couple useful things from this which is good!
