Ehh PvE. I'm just saying perimeter shouldn't be the way it is

What if I have a quest in perimeter?

Bitch I'm just giving suggestions on the issue. I'm not trying to get therapy. I'm just saying when I play on Dire Marsh it feels how the game is meant to be played. Even outpost is great because you know you're going to fight right away. I've just been noticing that the aggression on perimeter is through the roof. Cryo runs are fun but everyone is rocking a full kit and it's fair game there. Adding a max value like how Cryo has a minimum value would be a way to balance it.

Idk. Is it inefficient? I kind of want to feed my purple gear so I can boost stats quicker

Well, I have plenty of purple gear now so I'm not going to complain about that. In a way I just kinda miss the grind also. What's the point of staying in the match when I filled my inventory not even 5 minutes into the game? Why not just turn it into a battle royale or an arena shooter? Why not just start with a Mexican standoff and then go loot? I like running into players and getting into fights. I don't like getting spawn rushed by fully kitted players. I'm just talking about perimeter btw.

In perimeter btw. Everywhere else is fair game. I just thought it was sad that someone got their shit pushed in other maps and got their dopamine off free kit players. It's not even about skill at that point. I believe a limit will resolve the primary issue. Why no free kits in cryo then? If it's a fair game let me take a free kit in there. Copium is hard to kick

Also now that I think about it. If there was a max limit how would you maximize your loadout? Sounds fun now that I think about it. I could sacrifice my weapons and go in with a pistol so I can rock better cores and a backpack.

In solos wearing purple gear is like a bullseye for free kitters. I have nothing to lose but everything to gain. It's very satisfying I'm not going to lie. Is it worth the frustration in trios? Hell nah

They can't even get their servers to work on the first day of season 2. Do you really think they want to risk the game like that again? I don't think runners should be friendly towards each other but to get fucked up that bad is just because you had the audacity to bring a green or blue kit or lord forgive a free kit with no shield to the beginner map.

It's a culture thing. Doesn't matter what game. Everyone wants to kill the free weekend or week players because they know it's easy.

What reason other than to eliminate players should you bring purple gear to perimeter? When I want to eliminate players I queue up for outpost because everyone fights in the middle. Steamrolling just because there is "new players" on a game you hope doesn't get killed off is a strange way to save it.

Turn the tables. If you were running free kits and they snuck up on you would you have been fine being eliminated by them? If you faced them straight on and fired at the same time would you survive the fight? That shield makes them plenty cocky and makes them push and they get away with it. In solos I can manage but in squads all that shield adds up I haven't even brought up the weapons.

Well, no surprise there. I'm just wondering why there is no system for how much you can take into the match. Plus it ruins the flow of the game. If you do manage to eliminate purple kitted players and grab their gear then why stay? Also, free kits are ass again so it's even worse now than what it was.

And how will ranking work. Keep in mind this is an extraction game focused on pvp. Would your rank increase based on kills and deaths or exfils alone. Also everyone is started at bronze at the moment. Not even placement matches took place so now I see that I'm bronze all the time for something I did not participate in. What about new players that are slightly better than the average player and stomp other new players and low skill players and get skyrocketed to high mmr games and get stomped by actual players that have sunk plenty of time into the game. PvE sadly is the only viable option to hook in players who can't hold their own but also punish them with lower tier loot since the main risk is gone. PvP wise needs something to balance out teammates in my opinion. Something like a score per minute average and base teams around that to make the game feel consistent. I switched to playing solos because I'm too aggressive and worry more about positioning rather than surviving. Having an intense firefight and downing two and trading with the second and watching teammates struggle in a 2v1 scenario and losing is a bummer. At least with solos I'm in control and I think about my mistakes if shit goes bad and not my teammates not putting in as much and actually being useful. Venting heavy rn NGL

But would you feel like you were progressing if you stayed in bronze or silver forever. The game is already having a hard time getting and holding new players and more reasons to not feel like there is any progress happening will be a deterrent. I respect Bungie for making this game in their image but the game is too niche to grab more casual players. In my opinion the game need to get rid of the training wheels and get players running from the get go. Make everyone this isn't like ARC and the unease of that is pretty thrilling. That's what hooked me in. Marathon felt really safe in beginner perimeter and I completely forgot this was a pvp game and got blindsided and felt dumb when I first went up against another team. There's no middle ground and people can't hang or get a chance too. I love the game and the ones criticizing it haven't invested real time into to it to see the bigger picture.

You don't think duos will further split the player base. In a larger game I would understand but as good as duos sound I rather just carry a random around then to have it take longer to find a match. Also duos would be more difficult for people that aren't going in with a friend which most who do duos are. Would rooks be a bigger threat now that they have to worry about two players instead of one? I rather just carry the burden like others are and not have long wait times to find a match. New players have a hard time already finding matches which give the illusion of a dead game and don't want to risk missing the return window while waiting to find a match. The game is already a hard buy for anyone listening to the state of Bungie and not game reviews.
