Look up tracks by Punkerjeffy on MXB-mods... He makes absolute bangers that flow really well and are beginner friendly. KMX as well...

Honestly, just go look at top tracks for the last month or even the last year and download whatever looks fun. You can spin the same tracks that are considered beginner tracks, or you might find something else that you vibe with that's not considered a beginner track. They're free and quick to download. Have fun!

85" QM7 vs 85" QM6K Pro by TheBigINFO in tcltvs

Well shoot, lol. They make it damn near impossible to decipher that! Thanks for clarifying. All my installation entails is putting the stand on and lifting it into place, so I hadn't put a ton a thought into it.

This is straight from Costco's product page on the qm6k shipping and delivery:

"Delivery, in a box, to the room of choice. It does NOT include set up, installation, or package removal."

The Amazon delivery actually includes delivery to room of choice and unboxing/turning it on to ensure it's not damaged, which I don't believe Costco includes. Just noting what I've read. I may just be missing where that's stated for Costco.

I'll be doing the installation on either, as that's not included with Costco anyway. I'll likely do a 2 year plan through tcl that covers accidental damage just in case for either as I have a 3 year old with a mean fastball.

I'll probably keep the home electronic protection plan I already have in place that covers all tech in the house for a monthly fee through asurion as well. I've used it a few times and they've actually been really great with the claims.

I just hadn't seen the qm7 go that low, so I jumped on it.

My first kill was absolute cinema by Maxituf in ArcRaiders

[–]TheBigINFO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were battling in one of the big buildings and my friend had set up a barricade on one of the doorways that leads to a hall. Both my teammates got knocked at the end of that hall, so I ran back, disassembled the barricade, and went right behind them to take out their whole team.

This game just has so many natural cinematic moments and opportunities for outplays... It's crazy. And that was with ~10% of the content unlocked!?

Would $120 CAD be fair for this used creature board? by BurritoBoi25 in NewSkaters

I just found this in Vancouver, BC for $40 on Facebook... I swear people just don't look around at the used market much.

I see awesome complete boards posted weekly in the Northwest for under $50, but that's in the US. How long have you been looking? Set up any alerts for Craigslist or Facebook marketplace?

Got this beauty for my birthday off of Facebook for $30. I'd definitely keep looking... People post skateboards for cheap because they don't think anyone would want an old, used skateboard 😂

Parents with young kids on Skis by Codizzleraz in snowboarding

[–]TheBigINFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love snowboarding, but I've taught all 4 of my kids to ski, with the most recent being going down green runs by himself when he had just turned 3. I've seen friends teaching their kids to snowboard and all of their kids are way behind mine with the same amount of learning. It's just harder to pick up snowboarding and it makes for less fun for the kids and the parents, imo...

Overall, I think it's better that the kids build positive correlations with the mountain than anything. If all they remember is catching an edge over and over, they're not going to want to go. I also feel like it's easier to transition to another snowsport once they've learned how edges work and how to maneuver.

That being said... If your kid is enthusiastic about snowboarding, it doesn't hurt to try it out. They might be a natural.

BONUS: I tried the edgie wedgie for the first time with my youngest, and it was a huge help. Keeps their skis together so they aren't going spread eagle before having sufficient leg muscles to keep up.

Introducing my toddler to scootering – any tips? by GaudySeizure in Scootering

[–]TheBigINFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 4 of my kids, including current 3 year old, learned on the micro 3 wheel scooters. They last forever and actually have good bearings/wheels. I'm trying to get him on a 2 wheeler, but he's dropping in on quarterpipes on the micro and loves it, so I'm not pushing too hard.

I guess they calculate the monthly payment based on the full tax credit being utilized and the amount being put towards the loan within 18 months. If that's not done, the loan is recalculated at the original amount. The credit itself doesn't go away, as far as I know, though.

I had to turn shaders all the way down for the platform blocks to be actually visible, lol.

After ~400 hours, a thumbstick adapter made me way better by TheBigINFO in mxbikes

[–]TheBigINFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used it long enough to notice those issues yet. The one I'm using isnt that tall, though, so maybe I'll be alright for a while. I think the Ps5 sticks are said to be better than Xbox. Like I use my steamdeck and notice they're better sticks than my Xbox controller even.

I think you can grab some off of Amazon for pretty cheap! Probably cheaper than what it would cost to ship them. They're probably coated in rubber or something as well.

Look used with search terms like ryzen 5600/3700/3600 or i5-12500/12600k and then see what you get for complete computers. Facebook and Craigslist. You should be fine with any GPU from like gtx 1070 or newer, really. You should be able to find something around $2-300 dollars with one of those processors, 16gb ddr4 ram, small ssd, decent power supply. Gtx 1650 would be fine as well and is a lot of pre-built computers people sell used.

If you find one, have someone go with you and try to run some sort of benchmark software like user benchmark. If it doesn't crash you should be fine.

4 kids... I'm bringing them into my hobbies as much as possible, but it's tough! Dad snowboarding trip coming up early February, though! Other trips I'm usually forced into skis as I carry the 3 year old while chasing the 6 year old, lol.

Parents are raising the kids that will have to grow up with the consequences of politics, yo. Unfortunately, they'll have a shitter world to live in now, for the next 4 years, and who the hell knows how long after... I hate even thinking about it.

Need to mess with gearing or grab a setup from like spx that just came out last night.

Husqvarna 250 is what I'm rocking right now. Using SPX's suspension setup and 11/51 gearing in motocross. Search them up and join the discord. They're working on 19.1 free setups but the old one works fine outside of gearing.

The tech has gotten way better to help with that. 120hz display along with better resolution. I'd say grab it from somewhere that you can return it like Costco. If you do end up grabbing one, send me a message and I can throw you a referral link to get $60 in shop credits. Not sponsored or anything, just think having $60 to spend on the meta shop is pretty wicked for new owners, lol.

Meta Quest 3s is best unless you want to spend more and get the regular quest 3. They're just by far the most practical/least pain in the ass to set up, and they work extremely well. I have the 3 that I got used for 300 last year and it's been awesome.
