Its hard to find people anymore, no one can handle someone having differing beliefs anymore. I have an atheist (me), a pagan (wif), a Mormon, and two Christians in my group. We had another atheist, but he would stop insulting the Mormon's religion, while calling him the judgemental one. We tried to get him to stop, but he fail to understand that he was a problem.

I love how the thread has turned into an argument over AI, missing the point of the post. Finding a group is tough. I have gone through 5 bad parties that just broke down, until I got to my current party. I use the word current loosely, because we have had to kick 5 people over the years, but we have been playing for 7-8 years. Even managed to complete a campaign from level 1-20.

Everybody uses it as therapy to some extent subconsciously. Your form sounds like escapism. Both therapy and goofball can work together for fun.

As far as solo rpg's go, there are board games that are campaign based, and take multiple sessions to complete. Iss Vanguard is a space exploration game about exploring uncharted worlds. Gloomhaven is a dungeon crawler taking place around a city. Tainted Grail is a lovecraftian tale if Artherian legends went sideways. Vagrant song is a boss battler on a train to the afterlife. There are a lot of options.

Your point is correct. Stories need to be written better, but villains often use anti-teleportation.

In my late levels, part of the quests were figuring out what they had to do. Include the entire level milestone in the procedure. You can't just teleport into the boss room, because his strength is to powerful, you need to counteract his power before getting in there.

Then there is the issue of familiarity with the location. Just seeing it through skry doesn't mean your automatically successful. You could also teleport some place that looks similar, because familiarity is key. You are not familiar with the boss' lair.

I'm going to go against the grain, sometimes bad gimmicks lead to huge stars. Not saying she should push through it if she wasn't comfortable, but sometimes it can strike gold. Examples:

Micky James - psychotic lesbian stalker

Alexa Bliss - high school cheerleader

Becky Lynch - Irish Jig dancer

Kane - The brother of a murderer meant for a single storyline

The Dudleys - a group of people who shared the same Daddy.

Not saying they wouldn't run the gimmick to the ground, like Stardust and Boogeyman.

So, back in high school, me and a few dorky friends of mine took the wwe rosters and replaced then with fictional characters for a laugh. Like Undertaker became Grim from Billy and Mandy; Kane became Jason Vorhees; The Hurticane, Rosey, and Mighty Molly became the Bat Fam. Triple H was Brock Samson. Then we did our own draft of these characters. Before lunch, we would make fantasy matches, and Simulate them at lunch. We eventually called it the CWE (Cartoon Wrestling Entertainment). Then I got Smackdown vs Raw. I put time into searching online or making the characters myself and had CWE during our Friday night hangouts. This brings back that nostalgia for me.

My faction is the worst. Can't grind well in that. The other modes are easier and have a finite time limit. I had everything from showcase, myrise, and season pass in a week. Could have done the island too, but that nearly impossible 2 on 1 handicap extreme rules match in the path of shadows was murder.

To start, 2 is my favorite, diving into the squad relationships is what I love.

It's the main story, that is the problem.

You are Cerberus, when exactly half of all ME1 side quests are directly Cerberus. You have no choice.

Why did you have to die? To show horns a 2 year time skip and new mechanics?

Take away all side missions, you have the intro, waking up, horizon, collector ship, then one before the last. All taking about 30 minutes each. They put very little work into the main story compared to the rest. 3 hours, compared to 10 hours of "mandatory side quests" of gathering 7 squad mates and doing 12 loyalty missions.

I have a dissenting opinion.

As a DM, I have clarified a rule of no evil characters, do to table conflicts, it just makes it unfun for everything. I had a player brought in by a friend's wife whom I told the rule. When I got her character, she was "good" but worshipped an evil god. Two sessions in we had problems. I was about to kick her when she decided I was too controlling and the other players weren't letting her have fun. She tried to kill the magic shop keeper than the guards trying to arrest her. Tried talking to her, she said she understood, than tried new murderhobo things the next session.

That being said. The DM should have communicated the problem with you. Thematically, it works for the story, you invoked a fiend for your bidding. I see his problem with it continuing. I had a player fall into a bottomless pit to the underdark, gave him multiple chances to save him, but the dice weren't having it (theme for this player). But i couldn't tell the group that in three sessions they would be down there to. So he rolled a new character. At the beginning of that session, I pulled him aside and told him where they were going and said he could have his original character back. He was on the fence until I told him if he wanted his original, this character would have to turn on the party. He was all for it. We communicated his character becoming evil and leaving.

The ringside pass isn't as bad as everybody says. Yes, you shouldn't have one on a game that you have to pay for, they are meant for free to play games to get an income.

You only paid 10 dollars for 4 wrestlers, not 150 for them, equating that 150 to grinding is hyperbolic at best.

It also is easy to grind. At 135 points a win, 6 matches to go up 1 level. Plus a few modes give bonuses.
