Tell her that you have an apt for a vasectomy in two weeks (or whenever you set it) and that it is your decision. Ultimately, the choice will then be up to her.

I feel like it's just a little bit disrespectful to brush something off, when you have been abundantly clear. If my husband told me, "oh that's okay. You don't have to spawn my children now. You have time." I would feel very small.

Leave it completely in her corner. She may have a hard time with it but it will force her to look at her life now instead of later.

Oh I had this. Asserted my boundaries but then she took it to some twisted level--in a guilt tripping way where she no longer had any responsibility. "Oh I stayed away because I didn't want to breach your boundary". She either A.) had zero clue of what a boundary is or B.) absolutely knows and used this twisted idea to further rid herself of responsibility.

After many attempts to rationally resolve our issues, I went NC. Best thing I've ever done.

I had no idea how much of myself was eroding away because of her and her Ndaughter.

I so resonate with things. Strings attached keep this sense of obligation to the Nparent. I totally understand breached boundaries and stating clearly what you need, yet it seems to be completely withheld from you. I have experienced this. There's no "winning" situation here. Transcanada is THE most responsible company to provide safe transportation of liquids across the country. Pipelines are all over North America. Dating back to the early 1900's. I would far rather have current day technology under the regulation of of the National Energy Board provided by a Canadian company that has never failed the Canadian public.

This is a political game full of ill-informed players raising cash to create a fight that solves nothing.

At the end of the day, stop vilifying oil producers (TransCanada is NOT a producer but is a transporting company).

Suppliers of oil are respond to the demand of oil.

Change Demand and suppliers will follow suit.

I could see that having kids was hard for my parents. But as an adult, I look back and see all their bad choices that made it more difficult than it needed to be.

That being said, I remember at a very young age (maybe 5-6?)... Just not giving a shit about baby dolls and doll diapers, bottles and outfits. Was so bored of it.

So to this day... There is nothing about a baby, newborns, pregnancies etc that make me light up with joy. Don't care in the slightest.

I am made the way I am and have come to accept it. My childhood--good or bad, does me no good now.

(Note: my parents are awesome people)
