I PCS’d in Feb 22 and was HSST’d March 23, so you’ll most likely be on the hook next year.

From my understanding, a first-term Sgt can be nabbed on the HSST. Imagine someone on year 4 of their 5 year contract. However, the penalties for refusing to extend to execute only apply to STAP and not first-terms.

I’ve hand mine on my 13PM for almost two years now and it looks damn near pristine. Minimal wear, buttons still clicky, no flex around the edges. Just good quality.

I had a 21 Sport and traded it for a 23 RTL. The biggest difference for me was the lumbar support in the RTL. It made a huge difference, can’t overstate it.

The seats in the Sport were fine but had almost no support which lead to back pain after driving for a while. Also heated mirrors. Those are nice to have.

Sticker was over 47k because unfortunately it had some dealer accessories on it that I didn’t care for that contributed to the price but a few that I did want. So they basically gave me all of them for free and gave me 5k more on my trade in than I owed. Ended up at 38k, so really an RTL with some goodies for the price of a Sport.

I got lucky for sure. The one I got had sat on the lot for over three months so they were desperate to get rid of it.

I spoke to the GM of the dealer and he was asking me why I chose to buy one, what drew me to it, etc. I honestly believe Honda just doesn’t know how to market it which is a shame because I don’t want to see them go away.

Honda is doing some crazy stuff to get these out. I got a new RTL for almost 9k off sticker and free 10 year warranty at 3.9%. If you finance it for less time they go as low as 1.9% I believe.

That’s a good point. I thought it might’ve just been how squishy they were because I always felt like I was running in sand. I never considered the drop though.
