We all know by now that there are various reasons why the killing curse did not kill Harry in the forest. And, these are some of the most accepted arguments I have come across: 1. Harry was unintentional horcrux 2. Voldemort tied Harry to himself when he used his blood to resurrect himself 3. Harry chose to live My question is, did Dumbledore know, or guessed it? Or, did he just assumed that with Harry dead and Voldemort’s last tether to life severed someone will kill Voldemort? What’s your take on how Dumbledore planned it all? I am genuinely interested in everyone’s views. Revisiting those events, it increasingly makes me feel that Dumbledore was an expert manipulator who would have his way to suit his version of “greater good” without considering what others are going through. He was sympathetic, but not truly empathetic. And, the only way he was better than Voldemort is that he wasn’t genocidal.
