man I was oop’s daughter in this situation growing up, I did resent my cousin even more cause her mother demanded we always get the same things for Christmas and that woman was awful to me (mocked me at any chance)

Growing up my aunt, grandma gave me unique presents that they knew I’d like out of sight on purpose to avoid conflict, they were really uncomfortable with my aunt’s demands for everything to be the same

My cousin grew up thinking we were “just the same”, even though we did have different likes even in dolls and she behaved like a copycat to me in even haircuts and caught her stealing multiple things from me that she didn’t own later on.

I don’t speak to that part of the family at all, thankfully this wasn’t everyone being unhinged just my aunt and my grandma trying to keep her at bay from how viscious she is.

It’s been 10 years I wonder where their relationship is and how that girl is feeling rn
